Let me put y'all on real quick. H.E.R. SZA, Summer Walker, TeaMarrr and Ari Lennox are currently my top 5 women who are all completely changing the R&B game. I would probably add Ella Mai at #6 too. They all have unique sounds, and their lyrics singing about their experiences are pretty much altogether creating the pinnacle of this new age of female song artists. Women are really singing about not only their pain, but their deepest darkest emotions, thoughts and feelings, and it's so raw. It's so human, and it's transparency make us understand women the way we look at male artists today, who pretty much have unlimited freedom to sing about anything. It's a great time to be alive with music like this.
