Those are some big thick woodies. Man I live in Florida and I hate the ugly ass concrete poles they are replacing the old wood transmission poles with here . I wish they'd use the poles you guys are using here. What are they Douglas fir treated with creosote?

The concrete poles are supposed to be for hurricanes lol

​​@@34525314 They call it storm hardening (and are said to have the capacity to withstand up to a category 4 strength hurricane) and are reportedly doing it statewide with construction taking place through at least 2024.
