For the first dish I guess it is typical Indonesian snacks, yes it looks like onde-onde. A kind of dough filled with green beans, coated in sesame seeds and fried. Yups, we call it onde-onde

Onde means "[something or someone] evil", "onde leker" for example means "evil toys"..! I find it funny how some similar words can mean very different things! Like ni is 2 in Japanese and 9 in Norwegian..! But even funnier is when two unrelated languages randomly have the same word for something..!

Apparently it’s found in lots of Asian countries. We have this snack in Vietnam as well, and I totally thought they were a Vietnamese snack until I saw them in Chinese and Korean restaurants. Turns out it’s just an asian thing lol.
What is Shiratamako? Can I buy it at an Asian market here in the US?

It is sticky rice flour, but different from mochiko. It has been frozen once then dried. You can get it in Japanese stores but I'm not sure about other Asian markets.
