@@grantsolomon7660 Grandmaster Chen practised Buddhism style (Fut Gar) in his early age, then Lee Gar and finally learnt from Master Choy (monk). As the founder of CLF, grandmaster Chen had good understanding of different styles including Hung Gar and other northern Chinese styles (Bei Pai）. Hung Gar had been the number one southern Shaolin style since 1700s. Apart from the difference between CLF and Hung Gar, two styles have something similar in stances, moves and terms. This can be applied to Xia Gar. The reason is that these styles are orginally from Southern Shaolin.
