Fucking great stuff again ... i am not a programmer or else but i fell in love with demoscene since the end 80th. i had many games on c64 or amiga just because of the demos before. and nowdays these demos always freak me out. i cant still believe some of them are olny 64kb or less. much respect to the scene and all participants.

EVE ShadowCartel I had an enormous fun writing music for this demo. First time for me to work on very restricted means to accomplish this. I thank Gopher and Virgill for their synthesizer.

I can not count the hours of watching demos on a big screen and just dive in into a beatiful digital world of pictures and music. This is completely amazing. It makes you wish that there would be some kind of breakthrough in video file compression / streaming. I feel like for almost every kind of video you'd want to watch it'd simply be impossible though. But, say, even if we get to the point in the future where a sufficiently advanced AI is able to make a somewhat faithful 3D "intro" based on a 2D video (as a 64k "thumbnail") it'd be a gigantic breakthrough. Super fucking nice work though guys. Y'all murdered this one.

Daniel Lindholm: I have to tell You something... I just gave a quick look on a video on yt 64K Revision 2017, and that winning Logicoma''s demo was very good and shocking of course, but after that I've moved to other stuff and then later I noticed that I still hear or repeat music in my mind, but not from Logicoma's demo but from Yours (guys) H-Immersion. I had strange feeling of attraction to it, so I had to comeback and watch that demo from the beggining, and then again, and again. Compare to Logicoma, this one is like a story more based on deep emotions. Just after second time it hits me more than on the first time and I'm changing my mind - Your demo is the winner for me guys - ok It doesn't have a mindblowing graphics and loud freak music but it has something more valued - the story and hidden meaning. Instatly I realised that I will be listen that music track over and over again in the future. It became one of my favorited chill-out/ambient track now. Few words about... Starting from 0:07 those short synths notes are great - it remind me a liite bit beggining of "jean michel jarre - oxygene 2". Then In 0:23 I love those chords played on beautiful darkly smooth pads (they sounds almost the same as those in "Jaia - Exosphere (Late Morning Mix)" track). Then in 0:51 that type of close hithat Your matched perfectly (together with hidden/quiet short sound fx, it reminds me "Asura - Requiem From Nowhere" moment from 2: 35) . And then I like moment in 2:08 like waiting for something big... and then finally...I start to feel someking of bliss when in 2:15 melody appears played by short synth leads and a litle bit later in 2:27 those few sound notes played on keys/bells are like a cherry on sweet cake - everything match perfectly in great atmosphere. This moment/stage gives me goosebumbs (creeps). Also I like when those keys/bells notes became background later, when they played on reverb's tail only. That final melody is too short, it makes lack or hunger for more. You can simple notice what is happening when You listen to this track with focus - This music is taking You out from commonness/daily life and it's lead You wherever You want to be. Somehow it is like a promise, that there is a day in future, when whatever you dream of, will happend. So thank You for Your amazing work! I'm proud of You - because You had extremely limited space to fit Your music samples/sounds and You couldn't use more complex samples/sounds but You did extraordinary music, which invite me to reflect about everything. Unfortunately it is sad that in theese days that kind of music has less chance comparing to more commercial loud "mind fucking" tracks like that form Logicoma

Radek Stopyra thank you so much for all your kind words. I did whatever I could and worked with basic patches that I slightly modified. I hope the next release will have more original sounds if we decide to keep using this engine. This was my first major demo release since I happened to end up in not so serious groups who's intention was to make lamer-demos, so I'm happy to have found serious people to work with. They had it all story boarded(!) in black and white and later they matched certain events in my music to fit the visuals. I became the story-teller this time around when, without knowing, for the pacing. A very nice experience. I give my thanks to all of the people in my team and Virgill / Gopher for their achievements in crafting such a flexible synth-engine and I can't wait to create more patches for it. Please subscribe to my channel because I have some big news coming your way. :)

but you could fit it all in a C64's memory (provided that you swap out all mapped IO registers, kernal and chr ROM) and then stream it to a PC over some serial line (provided that you keep a memory bank from a cartridge ROM with streaming logic ...) -- kidding too ;:)

@@akapype When you have a lot of processing horsepower you can afford to have small program size because the CPU can do most of the work, but when you don't have a lot of resources you have to use lots and lots of other tricks to do these kinds of things. Check out the current (yes, even today!) demo scene on old 8 bit machines like the C64, Sinclair Spectrum and even ones like the Atari 2600. Some really impressive stuff is being done. For example, listen to the impressive quality of these audio clips played at 48khz using the SID chip on the C64 (the actual program file can be downloaded to confirm): - kzbin.info/www/bejne/mXzafZ6EpN6Gf5Y - kzbin.info/www/bejne/i4qkl5KXrM1ojqM The clarity of the sound is truly impressive (considering the dated technology)!
