Holla Mohalla, also known as Hola Mohalla or simply Mohalla, is a Sikh festival celebrated predominantly in the Punjab region. It usually falls on the day after the Hindu festival of Holi and lasts for three days. The festival was initiated by Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru, to promote physical and spiritual discipline among his followers. During this festival, Sikhs gather in large numbers at Anandpur Sahib and engage in various martial arts displays, including mock battles, sword fighting, and horse riding. It is also a time for Sikhs to come together in prayer, listen to hymns, and participate in community service. The atmosphere is filled with joy, camaraderie, and a sense of unity among the Sikh community.
