This is one live example of suppression and domination to the Gorkhali tea garden labourers by the factory owners of Bangal who make huge profit out of meagre wages alloted to the labourers. So what is the minimum wages of tea garden workers compared with other labourers in the State ? Just like any other factory workers in the country these tea garden workers must also be paid a fair and satisfactory wages as per the prices of the daily commodities in the market. Such suppression and domination and illtreatments must not be allowed. Where is the workers Union ? How much do rhe red shirt porters in the train stations charge for lifting and carrying luggage ? So why such discrimination with the tea garden labourers who must work under all kinds of weather conditions to produce the best tea for the factory owners.
