This is always such a treat of a show to watch, and this is one of the best recordings available on youtube. What a wonderful cast, what wonderful singing, and everyone's comedic timing was exquisite.

The video disappeared for a while, and I know that you gotta do what you gotta do...but this is by far my favorite version of this show so far. Considering I'm over here on the east coast, I appreciate very much that it's back!

Thoroughly enjoyable, what a wonderful production. It captures the very essence of a G&S operetta, humour and subtle sarcasm plus great tunes.

Just WONDERFUL! So lovely to be able to see this so easily in the comfort of home! And how nice to see something pretty much as it would have been almost 150 years ago in 1878 (no special effects - no computer anything! ) PS - Kudos for the period appropriate clothing such as the dress with a bustle at 21:48.

There's lots of energy from all involved in this revered classic. The test of a Josephine is in two arpeggios in "Sorry Her Lot":- this Josephine fumbles her first "Love is alive but hope is dead" line but moderately recovers the second time. Then in Act 2 her "The hours creep on apace" is strongly done, and I have never seen a Josephine so spontaneously reveal her glee when Sir Joseph unknowingly promotes his rival's cause. Some attention is needed to bring Sir Joseph's uniform up to British admiral standard because here he resembles more a South American dictator. Captain Corcoran is in splendid voice.

Funny how much patriotism is here for Britain while here in Britain you hardly see it. It’s such a shame and shows how corrupt our government and anti-British they truly are. Loved this piece of art from every variation I have seen. Makes me tear up
