That’s crazy that Thailand has a statute of limitation of only 20 years for murder, especially cold cases involving a serial murderer. In the United States, there’s no statute of limitation & charges can be brought up anytime. It makes sense considering the life of someone was taken, the case itself should remain a lifetime till the murderer is caught. I also find it interesting that Thailand didn’t request the murderer to be extradited to be tried in Thailand for the murders that occurred in their jurisdiction. The murders should have taken precedence over the charges involving escape from prison. Once he’s tried in Thailand for the murders & sentence is served, he can then go back to India to be tried there. If he received the death penalty then so be it. Also in the US, a killer cannot obtain any benefits or proceeds from the sales of his story. Ridiculous that he collected millions from it. Remember the Watts story where the mistress tried to sell her story? She was denied that & couldn’t gain any monetary value from her involvement in the case.
