This is my Favorite Handel's Organ Concerto No2. I have all 16 Organ Concertos played by the late Karl Richter who was a magnificent Organist. Passed away at 49 Yesrs .

What amazes me is that the music here is simply fantastic, yet only 6 likes over how many years? Truly one has to hunt for what is truly good in this world. One has to be free of what the media judges to be good.

Handel’s gift for melody is beautifully displayed by this interpretation of Rifkin and Hurford. I believe that Handel would love to hear his organ music performed like this rather than the stately, heavy and staid interpretations of many performers. I especially like the beautiful descending melodic structure between 4:55 and 5:10 of the Allegro.

Agree totally. I do not know Rifkin, but have listened to a lot of Hurford. I love his unpretentious smooth style where the music speaks for itself. His play of the Bach d-minor toccata and fugue, for me, is without equal. .
