I'd be interested in hearing your perspective on the book Warday by James Kunetka and Whitley Strieber. Although it's more post-nuclear war/alternate history than pure sci-fi or horror, I feel it was a surprisingly chilling, realistic and intriguing glimpse at how life would be following the destruction caused by a limited nuclear exchange.

Finally! I love the atmosphere of Lovecraftian horrors. Fear, madness and dread and the things that man can't understand.

Tomasz Przybył it's the best! Which other Lovecraft tale would you like to see covered?

@@ScifiHub I was rereading few chapters from a song of Ice and fire and there was a description of the sept made of black stone with faces of seven aspects carved in the walls. It reminded me of the black church from the hunter of the dark. So I guess it must be that one ;p

Never been into Lovecraft's work, but this video does an amazing job displaying his work. If this is going to be the quality of video coming from this channel it's definitely going to be a new favorite of mine.

Discovered your History Time channel April of last year and went through every video on my commute to university! Seeing that you are now pursuing building a Sci Fi channel makes me extremely excited, as Sci Fi, history and fantasy are my favorite past time topics. Definitely looking forward to more Sci Fi content in the future!

Love this. I now remember hearing superb BBC radio drama about a near deserted coastal town on NE American coast. Inhabitants were followers of a strange religion which came about after contact with these amphibious creatures. Treasure for souls. The description and the name Dagon sparked my memory. Don't know what book it's adapted from but would love to hear that one. Really creepy. Thanks for this excellent reading.

I think Nightfall, by Isaac Asimov is another classic of the genre that is also a great story. Would love to hear that! Thanks for all the hard work to bring “reading aloud” more exposure. It’s a greAt way to enjoy written works and I wish more people would be willing to try it. So glad ya’ll do this!

I'll assume that I am going crazy. I watched this and all that came to mind was the CNN dude that go fired, Brian Stelter. I am trapped inside his butt and there is no way out. Have mercy on my soul.

I didn't even realize that it's the same guy from 'Voices from the Past' until he said the word "scarcely"... I watch so many KZbin channels that have narrators with English accents (some thicker than others) that I get them confused... This one is the guy that says "SKAHR-slee". (It maybe it's his brother, I don't know)
