If you had a prolonged terminal illness and money was no object, would you manipulate euthanasia so that you could die on your own terms?
This story examines how the protagonist Mark uses his wealth to help create a euthanasia roller coaster. A roller coaster so powerful, it causes cerebral hypoxia, thus suffocating your brain ensuring a euphoric death.

When I was diagnosed with leukemia 3 years ago I remember the whole room falling away when the doctor said the words "leukemia" I struggled to remember what leukemia was, not because I didn't know what it was of course I did? But it was like my brain was protecting itself by forbidding me to comprehend my situation. I had to pull my phone up and google lukemia to remember what it was and when it finally hit me I remember thinking and remembering the most weirdest random shit, it was like my brain was hijacked and I couldn't focus. So yeah, the human psyche can do some really bizarre things when faced with a life ending scenario.

An interesting inversion of the original context of the Euthanasia Coaster. Is the chosen title of H Positive supposed to pay homage to the transhumanist roots of the concept as well as hint at the possible terminal illness? Well done, good cerebral storytelling. I like the theme of punctuated, deliberate actions that contrast the ambiance and transform the scene. Small sharp sounds, the violent splatter on the mirror, the wine glass instantly changing the water. The light switch turning the world to darkness and then euphoric noise. The violence of those small rebellions drives home both the enormity of death and the character's want to conquer it. The ambiguity of that final drab scene leaves the unknown mystique of the end in tact though. The audience wonders if he succeeded in changing the world through his high-minded violent rebellion, or if for all his posturing of spinning the world, it just keeps spinning indifferent to his monument to the power of human will over that most humanizing of conditions.

Fascinating film based around an even more fascinating concept. I like your choice of lighting an framing though all of this, it really sets the mood of “the end.” If I had one criticism though, it would be the last scene. Only because the building his body is dragged to is s danky shack rather than an extravagant building like the rest of this guy’s life. Unless the point was to show that the grand significance he thought he had created around his death was all for nothing because in the end his body is being abandoned in a crummy shack after the extravagance is over. Still a very enjoyable 7 minutes, and a great directorial debut. Looking forward to your future projects

I agree with your last statement. He thought his extravagant life, for himself to enjoy, was the ultimate goal in life. Yet, he is alone. He wants to end his life. And he thinks he will be remembered for what he has created. All of it was the lies of evil. Oh the joy he could have had if he just have found it with God and family. The day I leave this world will be a day of celebration because I know where I'm going and who I will be with. Jesus! The one who died to pay the price for my sins. My savior!

I’m not a film buff, meaning I don’t know anything about camera work or filming.. anything of sorts.. I was looking for a positive short film, something inspirational to watch during my lunch break and I found your film on here. Yes this film gives a sense of darkness and then an emotional one to. This guy had everything from what we can see, money was not an issue. What was an issue is that he realized to late that he might of not really contributed back to society in a humanistic kind of way, he realized he’d been selfish; possibly.. He road the coaster, still in a more selfish mentality because he wanted to be remembered. It’s why I can see how he never contributed to society but took from it. His contribution was to off himself from this world… Either way, the film draws you in, I know that it made me reflect on myself on what and how am I contributing to this world, how have I impacted others.. Truly a positive way to see the light in this dark sensed film.. You’re awesome.. Oscar award for this film..

Umm... Why haven’t I heard of the director before this is by far the best short film I have ever seen. It’s a really deep message and it’s very too the point which works so effectively. It almost feels like you are on the ride ,on death row but at the same time you are seeing this man ,who has essentially has looked down on humanity his whole life, having this extremely pessimistic ,almost evil in tone, reflecting on his life and what he perceives other peoples to be . You also see his obsession with power and how he puts this great importance on impact and he wants people to remember him as a pioneer. Which from an anthropological standpoint is fascinating. All this in just <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="300">5:00</a>. Well that’s my take on it So anyway this is a masterpiece ( in my opinion) and truly eye opening .I am looking forward to see any new short films/ project in the future.

Yes it is very fun, it is located in Madrid (Superman), I rode it several times and enjoyed its 7 inversions. I think that this coaster is perfect for this video because the landscape in real life it is very depressing, in the middle of nowhere, in fact you cannot see the layout of the coaster from the park. I hope you can ride it!
