Dear Alexander, I surprise myself with your music, keep coming back to your video that is an inspiration Hardly I try to “shape” or “sculpture “ the sound, and very seldom I’m in peace with what I’m doing That shape, is the difference in between craftsmanship and art, and hope to get it sometime Not expecting to be in stage, but for my own pleasure Congratulations

Thank you David, from my point of view what matters is "the road", not essentially the result, because there is always some room for improvement, I think :) Thank you again, all the best!

Is the rhythm in the soprano correct in bar 3 of the Almand?
@wilgos.guitar Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment! Error is always possible, especially in early music ;) If you have noticed something suspicious, can you specify? Is it in performance, in notation or are you referring to the original score?

Forgot a question, how do you record your music, I’m asking because the sound of your guitar is absolutely beautiful Thank you
@wilgos.guitar2 жыл бұрын
Thank you David! Glad you like it. Most of my transcriptions were recorded professionally in a concert hall (as these Purcell's pieces). Recently, I try home recording more and more, since it's far more convenient. Also, it's a great opportunity learn how to shape my sound the way I like it. Thanks again!

You play very well my friend, do you think that Purcell or other transcriptions would benefit from an 8 or 10 string guitar?
@wilgos.guitar6 жыл бұрын
los pueblos Thanks! I think having 2 or even 4 more bass strings is very useful while transcribing any keyboard music for guitar. But in my opinion, guitar is almost too hard to control with more than 6 strings. Sometimes it's a big challenge to fit a wide-scale piece into 6 strings, but if one loves to play Purcell, Rameau or Brahms, he'll do it :)
@worldofmakam6 жыл бұрын
Aleksander Wilgos what about baroque lute, how did they manage it so well with little effort? Maybe advanced players became rare in the end?
@wilgos.guitar6 жыл бұрын
los pueblos Yes, lute players did and still do manage to play having tons of strings, but there is quite a difference in sustain between guitar and lute. I admire Paul Galbraith playing on 8 string guitar, he made up a perfect solution for all kinds of transcriptions. The price for that are really extreme difficulties to keep it smooth and clear (Galbraith can do it :)
