7 hours for a DIY is pretty normal. It's not an easy job. I'm glad you're liking them. I just got VWR springs in mine a couple weeks ago and I'm loving them too. Massive difference.

Awesome review.. Thanks again for your time to share your hard work. I will get thos springs for Wade MK7.5

Got the same springs... like it so far. When the stock shocks crap out, I’ll upgrade to bilstein b8 or koni fsd

Years ago I did Eibach Sportline springs with matching struts on my EK Sedan. This time around, I want to go coil-overs. I agree with you on a daily though.

I'm doing H&R OE Springs instead on my R-Line Passat. Sports a little too low for a car that size. I want that subtle drop and slight improvement in handling. Might do sway bars too. VW suspensions are not as soft as in other manufacturers. Edit: I'm on exit 15 on the palisades. Watch out for the pork.

Great review! I recommend upgrading to the 034 sway bar at some point. I have one paired with stock suspension and it improved cornering greatly
@JR14Channel7 жыл бұрын
CryptiicFrost thank you bro I appreciate it!! I know already that I would have to do the rear sway bar upgrade mod sooner than later. Project MK7 handles well now but it could definitely be better with that mod.
@Fonzizzz6 жыл бұрын
Hey love the video, on the H&r website they don’t have super sport springs, only the H&r sport springs. And in the video you also state the drop is 1.3” which is just the sport springs

Nice video, the car sounds great. How did the struts hold up after all this time? I love how low the super sports are but I'm worried about breaking the stock struts.

Last week i´ve tested my GTI in a 400km trip, i didn´t like the roll feeling with the stock springs in the curves, i´ll install some sport springs Eibach or H&R and i hope to reduce this rolling with that.

@kiergumiran99695 жыл бұрын
Did you need to do a stance? Was the tire hitting the fender at all after installing the super sport h&r springs? Cause im about to install the same springs on my mk6 GLI
@JR14Channel5 жыл бұрын
Not at all it was bad at all. The car for sure was definitely lower. However, there is absolutely no rubbing at all so you should be good with no issues!

Oh man engine sound is amazing! It truly is intoxicating! I am considering buying a 2015 or 16 GTI! Do you recommend buying low milage certified pre owned!?
@JR14Channel7 жыл бұрын
Absolutely I would totally recommend doing that!!! Just look at the history of the vehicle before purchasing it. But, if its certified Pre Owned at a VW Dealership then they would offer you warranty on it so you shouldn't have any issues

Sami, buy one and enjoy it. This is my second GTI both were exceptionally reliable. My other recent vehicles were three different bmws. They are much more upkeep than the VW thus far.

would you suggest the .75 or 1.3 inch drop for the h&r springs?
@JR14Channel4 жыл бұрын
Yes I do totally recommend them for a couple of reasons. One being that it’s still provides a great ride and it doesn’t blow out your shocks!!

Hey Anthony. To answer your questions it seems like it lowered the car around 1.3 to 1.5 inches all the way around which is a nice drop and to this day, I still have no complaints.

Does your car have the performance pack with the DCC system?
@JR14Channel7 жыл бұрын
Ryan K604 no i don’t have DCC. That’s why I went with the GTI SE trim because it’s easier to work on. I believe that with the DCC there is some coding that has to be done when altering the suspension.
@alexisgueits76846 жыл бұрын
Do you have DCC on your car?
@JR14Channel6 жыл бұрын
Hey Alexis. No I have the SE trim which comes with conventional shocks and springs with fixed damping and spring rates. I believe the Autobahn only comes with DCC.
@alexisgueits76846 жыл бұрын
JR14 I have the SE manual as well but mine has DCC... actually is really good! but of course I want it lower...
@99SVTBolt6 жыл бұрын
Alexis Gueits if you have DCC, you should look into the MSS springs. excelerateperformance.com/mss-kits-north-america/shop/volkswagen
