These types of videos can have tidbits of information but the truth and fact is that 95% of the people are working on their cars and don't have the facility that you enjoy working in. It's like watching a woodworking video where the carpenter is in a workshop with all the gadgets and gizmos for a finished product. Chefs are the same as they work in state of the art culinary facilities. Two weeks ago in the rain, I changed my fuel filter, spark plugs, cam sensor, crank sensor, throttle body. The next late afternoon, I replaced the seal & gasket of the vacuum pump, by a small flashlight about 4 inches long. It was well after dark by time I finished and gathered up all my tools.

Did you get the pro kit or the sportline springs from eibach?
@FastBearChicago4 жыл бұрын
Since they are red, that generally means Sportlines with Eibach.

I did the 034 Motorsport sway bar and matching spherical end links. Handling is amazing but the car is really stiff. I dk if I like it.

We've been loving these so far. They are "firm" but I would not call them stiff at all, Eibach nailed it when balancing ride quality and handling. Thanks, Rick

Did you get any noises when turning the steering wheel at low speeds?
@rallysportdirect6 жыл бұрын
It's recommended to replace your factory top hats with fresh ones to avoid the clunking sounds. Luckily our's were pretty new so we don't have that issue, but if your car has higher mileage, it might be worth throwing those in just to be safe. Thanks, Rick

What's the difference in handling between the eibach sway bars you installed and the superpro sway bars?

The drive shaft should not be allowed to drop under its own weight or the internal joint will move more than it should and be damaged,

Says safety first in the beginning yet gives it the gun on the springs xD
@rallysportdirect6 жыл бұрын
No one has ever accused me of being too smart lol. But honestly I do take safety pretty seriously, and a 1.5 ton car on a lift is no joke, but I knew those springs were not a concern. Now with that said you will notice in my later videos I do use spring compressors, and try to be an example of how to do things properly. Someone once pointed it out to me and I realized that people might think that how I do a procedure on a particular car applies to every car and might get seriously hurt. I'm okay with me being an idiot(off camera), but I don't want other people to think that it's the right way to do it and hurt themselves. Thanks! Rick

Leave it to german cars to invent random ass fasteners when a regular bolt does the job just fine

Get your VW to a circuit, have a fast lap. Now return the standard front antisway bar, install a stronger bar at the rear and try a fast lap. You will be surprised the good grip and better laptime you get. After that we can talk about caster and camber. I promise you will get a real car.
