Hörmann F71 pneumatic high-power siren test in Turku, Finland

WOW THIS THING IS LOUD! Every single sound of the city was drowned out by this pneumatic siren, and the whole street shook. One passerby who had airpods in his ears had to put his hands over his ears because the sound was so loud, and two electric kickboarders almost fell because the sound was so sudden and strong. Awesome device!

Oh man I can’t get enough of that wind down. I feel like this is louder than a Cyclone since the whole street shook lol. A Cyclone would only shake the ground about 50 feet from it, maybe a bit from 100 feet too

Yes, it's pneumatic siren

It is both really. It uses a chopper disk with 4 holes in it which looks very similar to a Chrysler’s chopper and a 4 hole stator to direct the sound into 4 large horns that are inside the siren’s head, and the chopper gets supercharged with air from compressed air tanks which makes the siren loud as hell similar to a Thunderbolt but just without a roots blower
