normal home router APs cannot support large number of concurrent clients like in hostel. They will suffer severe performance drop. You need a dedicated router capable of trafficshaping each client and costly access points. Cheap accesspoints will have less usable range but enough range to cause interference, specially in 2.4ghz band. For a hostel I would recommend a 300Mbps connection with burst ratel limt of 30 mbps up down per client for 5 seconds and 5mbps down 10mbps up after 5 seconds. That would allow 60 concurrent clients at 5mbps (like large downloading, instagram reels) or even 300 clients at 1 mbps for regular google browsing or 30 clients at concurrent video calls. but this requires power custom routers! quality is inversely proportional to economy
