You'll find that the faster you go with a v-rake, the better it'll do. Another tip - set the discharge width to be as wide or slightly wider than the pickup on your baler and it makes baling a lot easier.

We have a 10 wheel new holland.. Don't think there are any H&S dealers close,, But amazingly most of these rakes are so similar in design....New Holland is made by Sitrex....Same machine different colors..Our Hay has a 16% moisture window of three days..When I was young (6o's) we would sicklebar cut in the morning and square bale in the same afternoon

I tried a similar rake same thing but a Kuhn and it did alrite but I still prefer a pto driven rotary rake. I found the wheel rake to b a pain in smaller fields but if it works good for you then keep doing what works nice vid

waiting to use it in alfalfa and then give a review on. I found out it jumps over the hay when doing high moisture hay.

Nice machine. I didn't expect you to used the 1586. Did you get that at the Caroline Implement in Shawano? That's the only one I know of. I would like to see more of that rake.

Don't ya think the 15 is a little over kill? Lol what are going to do with the bar rake?

yes it is way over kill but the only tractor I had open at the time. the bar rake was sold about 2 months ago.

Have you had any trouble with the tines on wheel 1,3 or 5 hanging up on the other side of the arm the wheel hub is on? Mine has caught only a couple times. I usually run 5 to 7 mph.

That is strange. I wonder if my arms came bent from factory or something. I bought it new and know I have not bent them on anything.

Seems like anything over 1ton/acre hay they aren't worth a shit, I hated my wheels rake. I went to a hydraulic rake
