Hüseyin Tabak: GIPSY QUEEN

Director Hüseyin Tabak introduces his film GIPSY QUEEN, screening across the US via KINO! Germany Now! 2021 Discover New Talent, presented by the German Film Office, an initiative of the Goethe-Institut and German Films: bit.ly/kinogipsyqueen.
Hüseyin Tabak was born in Lemgo, Germany in 1981. From 2006 to 2012 he studied directing and screenwriting at the Vienna Film Academy with Michael Haneke. His filmography as a writer-director includes the features Your Beauty is Worth Nothing (2012) and Gipsy Queen (2019) and the documentaries Kick Off (2010) and The Legend of the Ugly King (2017).
In a time of uncertainty and new challenges for our film community, the German Film Office is pleased to offer a new opportunity for theaters across the United States to present a curated selection of new fllms from Germany. KINO! Germany NOW! enables art-house cinemas and film festivals to book recent films fresh from the international festival circuit for both virtual and in-person screenings.
