UConn is a great team in this era. Edey is a great player in this era. It's not fair to the present or past cause they'll never play each other.

Exactly. We know man for man UConn isn't an all time great team. But they are most definitely an all time DOMINANT team.

You're partially right. Edey is only great in this era and UConn because the competition is so weak. Neither would be great during the peak of college basketball.

If uconn wins out, then their definitely deserving of being in the conversation with other all time great teams like 2012 Kentucky, 96 Kentucky, 07 Florida, 08 kansas, and others. 2012 Kentucky is the only team in history to reach the 38 win threshold and win a title. Only two other teams have reached 38 wins in a single season and that is 08 Memphis who should have beat the 37 win 08 kansas team if drose just hits one of his two free throws, and 2015 Kentucky who finished 38-1. If uconn wins out that would mean they would finish 37-3 which will be the most impressive feat since the 2012 38-2 Kentucky team. That actually lost one of their only two losses in assembly hall against a good Indiana team at the buzzer. Which they would actually avenge in the NCAA tournament that same season. Dan Hurley is doing whay john Calipari was doing when he first arrived at Kentucky. He is a hell of a coach and his teams play disciplined fundamentally sound basketball. Alabama if they get hot could give them a run, but i doubt it. Purdue is the only team left i think can actually beat uconn.

This UConn team would crush Laettner’s Duke team. UConn is far deeper and their defense is unmatched. Don’t get caught up with names.

Christian laetner would bstrl on one of uconn. Players and get the psychological edge .UConn. I watched them play three games in regular season , they lost each one .I was not impressed. But they raise their level of play in tournaments .

For one it’s two different eras hard to compare. Secondly which laetner team? There were a couple good ones including a grant hill team. You must be young to just throw this comment out there

It's amazing as time goes by teams of the past get better than what they really were. Great teams back then, but the athleticism and skill set of today is another level. This uconn team is playing against 5th year seniors, not freshmen. Put some respect on today's game. This uconn team would beat the fab 5. This uconn team is better than 93 unc team. If michigan can't beat unc they can't beat this uconn team. This uconn team is a legit 8 to 9 deep and doesn't fall off.

Bama has my attention. When UConn went to Omaha, Creighton shot the lights out and the Huskies couldn’t get the job done. Hurley has the team focused, and surely they learned from their tests - expect Connecticut to win. But Bama definitely has a shot

But they aren't playing this game in Tuscaloosa. And playing in Creighton is not fun for any team not named Creighton. In Glendale, there is no home court, so this is totally neutral and man are we glad Arizona is not still in this. But UConn's O and D are top 5 (like #1, #4) and Alabama has not played that level in this tournament. They played Purdue on a neutral court and lost by 6, but even Purdue's D is not top5.

Kind of makes it more interesting though leading up to game time. If it's too predictable it gets rather boring in my opinion. Besides, who doesn't love a good upset? Nothing personal. @@Whatspoppin5

There is no team past UNC’s 2009 team that I would put anywhere close to an all time great team. This UConn team is the best of this era (by far), but they’re a Sweet Sixteen team 30+ years ago.

UCONN has a big that can shoot three's in addition to 2 or 3 other players. UCONN also can rebound very well due to the size advantage.

Illinois was pretenders .brad underwood had a terrible game plan taking it inside against the tall timber 🪵.if you get outscored 30-0 by accident you should have a bucket in there somewhere.. maybe Alabama can outgun them .they score the most points per game this season .and they can shoot the three ball .if the three falls , bama could pull the mammoth upset . Purdue is playing on a mission to win it all like Virginia did a few seasons back , after losing to a 16 seed as a 1.
