Stephon Castle is special... An absolute star that plays so unselfish and takes unbelievable pride in shutting down the opponent's best player ever game!

I've been commenting for weeks now that Steph Castle is the best prospect in this upcoming draft. 6'6'' explosive athlete with tremendous upside who is already a lock down defender as a young freshman. I've watched ever UConn game this year and not once have I seen Castle not completely locked in and focused on the task at hand. When Hurley or Luke or Kamani speak, he's hanging on every word. Give him a year or two in the league and he will be a 40% shooter from deep. Castle is as close to a lock for future perennial all star that this draft has.

@@BlyGuy I think Ball has been contemplating the transfer portal since Jan. Hurley said something about seeing it in some players in Jan & Feb. He went in the game at the end of the Illinois game and kept trying to be a highlight reel. Maybe he'll change his mind but seems pretty apparent to me. I think that's why his minutes got cut back so much, I think the coaches were feeling that, Hurley was saying back then he was hoping the young guys would wait their turn... I think Stewart is a future star for UConn... This program is special. Go Huskies!

@@SanctuaryGardenLiving 100% agree with everything you said. Ball was getting a ton of burn early in the season, but he clearly wasn't UConn focused as his minutes kept dwindling game after game. I noticed something recently as I always like to pay attention to body language pre-game. Ball was trying to yuck it up with Steph, but Steph was having no part of it. Told me everything I needed to know about both guys. Jaylin took the opposite path of Ball and is going to be a nightmare for BE opponents next year.

@@BlyGuy if UConn wins it all & Stephon Castle continues to play this unselfish and lock down the best player on the opponent's team I would LOVE to see him get the MVP! That would be awesome and show the world how being unselfish team first mentality = 🏆& MVP!

@@aidanbogursky2581 they are great. But that duke team had 3 players who had their numbers retired at duke. Are u old enough to have watched that team? Just curious.
@aidanbogursky25815 ай бұрын
@@nickcothran3307 No I’m not but the numbers don’t lie. That team got taken to OT by 6 seed Kentucky in that all time classic and only beat 5 seeded Indiana by 3. If UConn continues to beat everyone they play by 10+ and most of them by 20-25+ then there really is not an argument here. You can’t be in two games that you almost lose and be considered better than a team that completely runs through the tournament without even being challenged. 2023 UConn’s run was more impressive than 1992 Duke as well.

@@aidanbogursky2581 college basketball had straight up stars back then. Everybody stayed 3-4 years. The best players leave college after 1 year these days. That duke team lost 2 games all year. They were ranked number 1 from start to finish. And this was when college basketball was as big or bigger than college football.
@aidanbogursky25815 ай бұрын
@@nickcothran3307 That’s great and all but UConn has dominated their competition more. You can’t really ask for anything more than that and if they get Purdue that’s a 4 year senior superstar in Zach Edey who’s the Player of the year twice now.

Wouldn’t the present be the best time to consider BLUE BLOODS ? If parity is an issue, doesn’t it mean it’s harder to win, so in turn this is when a TRUE BLUE BLOOD emerges.
