和文タイプライター パンライターＭＡＣ－Ｍ45

今から１０年弱前、別のチャンネルにアップした和文タイプライターの動画がかなりの方に観て頂き感謝しております。
あれから故障してしまっていましたが、数少なくなった修理業者へ依頼し、調子の良い状態で戻って参りました。
タイプライターと言いますと、英文タイプが真っ先に思い浮かぶかもしれませんが、和文となると文字数の多さから、全然違う形となってしまいます。
このモデルでも、当時では手軽に綺麗な文書が、簡単に作成できると発売され、色々な所で活躍していました。
私の所有する機械は、日本タイプライター社製の「パンラター・マックＭ45」です。
小型簡易モデルで、横打ちです。細かいピッチ調整は出来ません。
活字の文字盤を縦打ちに入れ替えれば、縦打ちも可能です。
ワープロが普及する前は、官公庁や事務所、学校などの文書作成に使われていましたが、使い勝手が大変なため、消えて行きました。
私はこのタイプライターを、大事に使っていきたいと思っています。
当時では、日本タイプライター・日経タイプライター・菅沼タイプライター・東和タイプライター・モトヤなどのメーカーがありました。

中学生の頃(1984年)、担任の先生がクラスの文集を和文タイプで打っていました。ひとりで打ち込み、放課後の静かな廊下にその音が響いていたのが思い出です。一字一字拾って打ち込んでいた、当時はそれが普通だったかもしれませんが、振り返ってみると大変な作業をひとりでされていたのだなと。ちなみに当時ワープロは出始めで、16x16ドットの荒い印字でした。公文書には和文タイプか、ワープロは24ドット以上でないと公文書に使えないと言われていたと思います。

@@RTMonitor they simplified their characters. They did not add anything new to the existing system of writings they have. They created an entirely new system.

They use qwerty keyboard. The os will give the person typing suggestions or words thats close to what theyre trying to type. Theres this english speaking japanese youtuber who explains how, but forgot his name

@@arlynnecumberbatch1056 i sometimes use Hindi keybord on google, and its kind of same, its four times the size on English keyboard,and one have to constantly switch left and right to find a character,its only usable because of google suggestions for words .

@@arlynnecumberbatch1056 here in India atleast every state has one local language which has its separate and very distinct set of characters. Overall there are 28-30 language with their own grammar and characters 😂 I am amazed to read instructions manual everytime, actually they have 2 page worth of information but its written in atleast 5-10 language ultimately it becomes a booklet 😂

Actually, the Japanese language does not work like ours, each of those symbols could mean a word, and the word changes depending on its combination. (I don't know anything about Japanese, this is what the Wiki says).

@@joacoalva3783 Japanese Language is a Syllable language. Kanji is is chinese tho, japanese language is mixing, Hiragana, Katakana, Kanji(Rarely Romaji) In other words, The main signs he is using are Kanji(chinese) You can see the Hiragana block in the top right middle of the sheet. Havent seen Katakana on the sheet, but its mainly used to "translate" foreign words into japanese(without translating them, actually)... Eh, whatever, I hope that helped

コメントありがとうございます。 中国語もそうですが、ハングル文字なども気になる所ですよね！ このタイプライターは残したかったのですが、故障の為無くなって寂しいです。 今は文字入力も凄く楽になりましたよね。

@@hatomarukun2000 漢字が多く使われていた時期にもハングルタイプライターには漢字がなかったので、文章はすべてハングルで、漢字が必要なときは直接書きました。これが現在のハングル専用を可能にした予習効果ではなかったかと思います。

Japanese words are usually only 1-2 characters each thought so i guess it's not that bad, and probably similar speed to neat handwriting. For example "This is a tree" (11 characters) is "これは木だ" in Japanese, only half the characters :) The question is how long it would take someine used to this machine to find the correct character.

コメントありがとうございます。 戸籍作成で使われている物は、もっと機能がある機種になりますが、基本的にはこの様に作成されていました。地元の区役所にも、数年前までは菅沼製のタイプライターがありましたが、今では姿を消しました。

英語が26文字なのに対し、日本語は平仮名だけで50文字。更に片仮名、漢字と多すぎてエグい。昔は大変だったんだな😅

But a single Kanji character can be a whole word. And Hiragana and Katakana are two letters per character. So much fewer key presses are needed. For example "I am wondering" - 15 letters is "〜かしら" - 4 characters.

No, a lot of japanese keyboards I’ve seen use qwerty and just write in Romaji, then use the spacebar and Tab to select the recommended kana and kanji for what you typed. On smart phones, keyboards are a three by three key grid where you swipe one of four directions from each of the nine keys or tap on the keys. This method is direct kana typing, and the phone will then suggest kanji or katakana to replace the hiragana. There are japanese specific keyboards of course, and many places use them exclusively, but in my experience (limited) it’s mostly just qwerty that converts to japanese. You can download a japanese keyboard for your pc or phone for free through the device settings. I encourage you to try it out, it’s pretty fun.

It's about formality. Hand-writing information on paper was pretty common in China and Japan until computers and printers truly took hold in the 1990s/early 2000s.
