Figured out what’s going on with the pump and it’s RGB. It only works through a Commander CORE, or CORE XT, I have no clue why. It will not light when it’s used through a Commander PRO Via RGB Hub, a Lighting Node PRO Via RGB hub, or a Lighting Node CORE. It will always work with ARGB using the ARGB splitter/adapter that came with the pump. It’s strange how Corsair made it.

Very nice video!!!! i have 3 questions. 1- I have corsair thermal paste, should i replace the already applied paste by it? 2- I bought the ID Cooling Frostflow AIO but im going to change the 2 120mm fans on it by the Lian Li SL fans? Good move? 3- On my new build, should i apply thermal paste on my gpu?
@RTC1200
@RTC1200 Жыл бұрын
1. The Corsair stuff is fine, it doesn’t really matter the kinda thermal paste you use, as long as it has good thermal transfer rating. 2. Good move, ID cooling’s fans suck. lol. 3. If the temps on your video card are good, or moderate, no. But it’s best to change the paste every few years. Thanks for commenting!

So I bought this exact Same cooler and installed it in my PC yesterday. I clearly see an improvement on my old AIO cooler that was basically as close to dead as possible. Although my Ryzen 3700X is still hovering around 50c when idle, 75 when simply installing a game. When playing games it goes up and touches the 90c. I'm wondering if I did anything wrong, maybe the pre-applied thermal paste was not good enough.
@RTC1200
@RTC1200 Жыл бұрын
Hm. Super strange, the 3700x has a TDP of 65w, so it should deal with it just fine. At the same time though, the 1700 tested in this video also has a TDP of 65w, and the cooler struggled a bit. Though, something that I noticed when testing, was my motherboard was applying too much voltage to my CPU when it would be doing something. Therefore, shooting the best way up. Look into that. I had to change it in my BIOS. On top of that, Thermal paste does have a play. Same with the type of fans installed on your AIO, and the type of task your giving your CPU. On top of that, check your ambient temperature inside your case, and the room your computer resides in. Maybe mess around with where your AIO is mounted, too.

“AIO” or, “All In One” coolers, are a combination of multiple parts put into one. A pump, a cold plate, coolant, tubing (usually soft line), a radiator, some kind of way to control the device, and fans either DC, or PWM). This device is an “AIO” cooler. So no.

Does anyone know if you have to clean this? If so, how often do you have to clean it and is it water cooling cleaning or is it fan cleaning?
@RTC1200
@RTC1200 8 ай бұрын
AIOs aren’t really something you have to clean, apart from air blowing the dust away from the fins in the radiator, and the blades on the fans. AIOs can’t be taken apart (Tubing off of pump, tubing off of radiator) because it will void the warranty, if it’s been 4-5+ years and you suspect the inside of your AIO loop is dirty, it’s better to just spend the money to replace it, than take it apart and clean it. As the pump probably doesn’t have that much life left, and it’s hard to refill a AIO with new coolant.

Hm, this has been a common problem for a lot of people. I noticed that on certain controllers, my AIO’s pump head won’t light up either. It only seems to work properly on the Commander CORE/CORE XT, and the RGB Hub powered by a Lighting Node PRO, or a Commander PRO. The 4000x comes with 3 SP 120 RGB Elite fans, and is usually powered by a Lighting Node CORE. Which channel do you have the pump head connected to? There’s 6 Channels on the CORE. You should have you front fans connected from bottom to top, (1-3), then the SP’s that came with the pump front to back ,(4-5) The pump head connected to the 6th channel.

The cooler itself doesn’t have its own module. So, you it won’t show up in ICUE. What you have to do, is connect the cooler to a Corsair lighting controller (RGB HUB, Lighting node core, commander core, commander core XT) using it’s 4 pin Molex SL port. Then connect the cooler’s 3pin DC to your motherboard’s CPU FN header.
