Please note this is my personal view and do not work for sky.

Had my 65” delivered today and I must say, other than the image being slightly soft (it’s really not that bad) once the settings have been adjusted the picture quality is somewhat respectable. The one big recommendation I’d give to people is to turn the backlight all the way up to 100 when watching standard definition as it’s far too dark to consider usable otherwise. It may appear to wash out the colours at first but if you head into the colour saturation settings and tinker a bit to find a balance with the brightness/contrast you’ll see a huge improvement than you get out the box. For anyone wondering about gaming on it, it’s fine, I wouldn’t recommend competitive gaming on it (obviously) but for games like fifa, which is what I mostly play, or single player games it’ll do you just fine. The motion isn’t too blurry either considering it hasn’t got a dedicated game mode. Finally, the sound is absolutely superb, I’d highly recommend turning on the bass boost option for watching movies or listening to music though and this is off by default. All in all, solid 7/10 for the money you pay, the complaints are mostly from people not taking the time to calibrate it correctly. Is it a competitor to Samsung, LG, or Sony? No, not at all. But it doesn’t try to be either. It’s good enough quality at a reasonable monthly cost at a huge convenience for most people.

So for a 55 inch TV you pay £17 a month for 48 months which is £816. An LG A1 55 Oled is £814 at Amazon right now and it's way much better than this one. For another 200 you can get the LG C1 which is a fantastic TV. Sky glass has a 60hz panel,blacks look grey,as we saw in this video it has only basic picture settings like we're in the 90's. No USB playback,you can't watch your videos,movies from a usb stick. And most of all, you'll have to pay an extra £5 a month to get rid of the ads. Ridiculous 😁

@@levybarella4770 A lot of people (such as myself) can’t get credit for TV’s from retail stores, but having been a loyal Sky customer for some years, can get credit for Glass. Not everyone has a grand to just shell out on a TV As for the quality itself, is it mind blowing? No, absolutely not. However, with the right picture settings applied you can get some VERY decent colours and overall image quality for 4K HDR content (SDR looks awful in comparison tho) Its really not a bad TV like some are making out, you just need to spend the time calibrating it to your likeness. As for not producing true blacks, there’s not a QLED out there that produces true blacks, only OLED panels are capable, but again, with the right settings they’re certainly not ‘grey’ as you would suggest.

been tinkering around with the picture settings for a day or two. ive settled on turning off the auto dim and I turned the backlight up to 100. before this all the images seemed to be grey or smokey and seem to be a lot better now. thanks for the heads up on your playlist

I applied your settings and via Glass Bbc1 hd is excellent. Thankyou. The UHD content is darker but I can take it. However, any attached HDMI device all had a brownish tan hue to it unless it has a UHD feed whereas UHD on attached devices is no issues.What gives?

Good but. I'm watching this on my phone (like most people) and can't see the options / text on the TV so.. When you gloss over things and say "I didn't touch that or" left on auto " etc.. I don't know what you're referring too

Was watching Vincent on HDTVTest and he pretty much changed the same settings you mention here. Looks like that auto dimming setting they've built enabled as default is a main culprit for the dark image, and as you say I've seen a lot of other Glass owners stating that as the main downside they had. At least it's able to be improved in settings anyway. Good stuff

Yeh it’s all good, in my eyes not the best but that’s my opinion as I have my own soundbar which is now plugged into it. If u look at my playlists my 24hrs video has a section on it.👍🏻

I think it just updates auto but if u go to settings then system then update. If your clicking update and nothing happening u have the latest version which atm is QS001.1.15.OP Hope that helps.👍🏻

When you go into ‘Home, TV Guide, All Channels, and the listings all appear… the small preview screen appears on the bottom right showing what is currently playing, blocking the listings behind it..anyone found a way of moving it to the top right corner?

It ain’t coming back off now lol. We used the paper instructions that came with tv, it has a template on it the size of your tv. We used masking tape to hang where we wanted it putting, then scored the holes on template through to wall. Pulled template off then of course drilled holes etc etc and hung the metal bracket that came with the tv stand part. Hopes this helps

Why does it look washed out from different angles if I sit off centre the picture is horrendous, please help, played with all settings. Also spend ages resetting all the pucks and remotes 😡

No amount of settings adjustments will make a difference to how it looks when facing at an angle. It’s an lcd panel so unless you’re perfectly square to the screen it’s generally going to look washed out unfortunately.

Personally I think the sound is ok. Not brill and mega loud like their adverts seem to imply. I did so a sound check in 1 of my earlier videos but it does not really give u the best experience via you tube I’m afraid sorry. I use my own soundbar.👍🏻👍🏻

Reds and greens alright, you got to be kidding . These colours are a joke , they’re completely wrong , my old 10 year HD Sony does a far better job . This screen/ Picture is substandard at best . I given it a week, it’s going back .
