Yes...Rejection reason will be validated and if they found inappropriate then H1B selection will also be impacted

The candidate should have minimum 6 months validity in the passport before filing the H1b petition.So better renew immediately and ask the employer to file the petition with a letter stating the renewal, as the.selection letter is based on passport number only

No only the sponsor has the right to file the petition if he is willing to take back you. Otherwise he can simply write to USCIS that you were no.longer working with them and.cancel the selection
