My vision of an H1 comment to the Unlimited Race teams: We want the final decision to be made on the course and not in the review booth. Get your crap together, all but 1 heat had infractions! Push it to the edge on the course not in the rule books. Nothing pisses fans off more than the governing body having to decide the race, and it all falls on the drivers! You all are at the absolute peak of the sport, start acting like it! As fans we want a clean weekend in Maddison July 1-3 2022.

@@christopherford9678 No, it was 100% the correct call. Same for the call on the 40. They did miss one though. There was another boat behind the 40 that went outside the course on the back stretch before the start. Although it may have been JMK who was a DNF anyway.

Today’s video production shows how H1 is drowning in incompetence, mismanagement and a fatally flawed product. Imagine having to stand all day on the beach to watch something so miserable. As for the tv announcing, never in my life did I expect to say I sincerely miss Jim Hendricks or Sam Cole but these current guys are unlistenable.

Years ago Villwock mentioned how some boats take themselves out of competition w silly mistakes. I was rooting for Dave to win this race. He could have w Homestreet Bank going down. But I think his MISTAKE was a major senior mistake,which took his Crew out of a GoldCup win. Sad sad mistake.

May12 2023 I understand the two infractions, BUT for goodness sake Call the infractions QUICKER. Good announcers, but the missed the calls, the white flag and checkered flag were flagged and call Wrong. I've watched these races for All of my 71 years, But officials, flaggers. Announcers, all mixed up. You'd think that H1 would get Better Officials. No wonder so many fans call " BS" on the unprofessional actions to the point of Stupidity.

They disqualified Jimmy Shane because his boat lost power and almost came to a standstill and he had to restart the boat and they call that the 80 mph under rule. What I think happened is they can control these boats with an on-off switch at the H1 control center just in case of an accident and I think they shut Jimmy's boat down because they knew he was going to win the Gold Cup again. I think that dropping under 80 mph rule sucks. I call that b*******

They have no way of remotely shutting a boat down. Never have, never will.

@@MX304 if it's computer-related they can do almost anything. ON Star can shut a vehicle down. I'm not saying they are, I'm saying it is possible.

Back in 2010 when Steve David blew the oh boy Oberto Miss Madison over and Qatar and landed perfectly right side up and after they interviewed Steve David he said he was just going to keep going and drive the boat back to the pits but he said they shut me down from the H1 control center to keep me from going on. They come up with that technology just in case a rudder or skid fin was to give or break and maybe the driver had no control they can flip a switch on which boat and shut it off. They come up with that idea because of the tragic accident that happened in Madison when one of the boats went out of control and hit another boat

This is not possible now and never has been. The drivers are in full control of their boats with no outside remote control of any systems.
