Multiplying those together to get all possible outcomes, the chances for it to occur were 625 to 1, which is exactly 0.16%. You are more likely to get a four of a kind in poker (594 to 1) than what just happened here.

So I calculated the odds of you guys getting the same characters and if I’m correct it’s a 1/600 chance of that happening or a 0.0016% chance of that happening Edit: for those wondering why I used 600 it’s because I treated them as two separate events so the way I was taught to do it was since it was to separate events I did 1/27*1/26

dark lord there’s 27 characters on the roster,let’s say the both use random select, that’s 1 in 27 in terms of odds for the characters they end up with, there’s a 3.57% chance of them getting the character they end up with, if there’s 2 people doing the random select, that would cut the chance by half, there’s a 1.785% chance of them getting the same characters, where are you getting your maths from?

It's possible that Cage's 'retake' fatality is a reference back to the original MK game; in it, if done correctly, his head punch fatality would glitch out, and cause Cage to punch his opponent's head off three times...at least, that's what I've seen around....
