You have a gift in how you narrate what you’re doing as it occurs. I’ve in home renovations (self employed) for 45 years and still will sit and watch what someone do their craft. Your father taught you well and you’ll keep this going and growing for many years to come.

It is funny how good that pressure tank is holding for its age! My son is building a house soon a several months from now. After seeing the waiting list around here and watching your videos i have advised him to get on a list as soon as he is finalized where exactly he is building the house and get a quality driller who can easily communicate what he needs and how to maintain it. Im gonna go watch and see what it looks like in person. I'm retired and seeing tradesman perform theirs skills is better time spent than watching TV. Watching equipment do the tasks needed is fascinating to me.

I have really come to appreciate your channel. I hope to be moving out of NY in the next 4 to 5yrs and we have city water. I have been able to learn from you enough about wells that when I move I will be able to recognize any problems that may exist. Also I think that I should be able to properly maintain a well now. Thank you for sharing.

When I was a young 18yop in 1978, I worked at a quasi farm supply place that dealt in well pumps and had a repair shop. I did order picking, and I was in and out of it all the time. It always amazed me to see one of those pumps 100% disassembled on a work bench. So many impellers. So complicated to me. So I know what you are talking about with the number of stages. When I read the tile, I thought yay, he is going to rebuild one.

At least the water wasn't as dark as the "Oil Well" in one of your earlier videos. I've recently started working for a water plant installer doing controls on large wells (20,000 home large). I was a bit surprised to find most of the wells I'm working on have big iron/manganese filters, very few are just a borehole pump, but then I'm new to this Some boreholes bring up other minerals you would not want to drink and so we fit other filters as well as Fe/Mn. I also see a growing problem on farm land, decade's of chemical fertiliser is now starting to come up the pipe from deep below so again more filters. From where I'm sat testing and picking suitable filters is going to be needed more and more.

We just got a well. It's 440 deep at 4gpm. My driller installed a 1hp 10gpm pump. I was concerned that the pump gph is too much for the flow rate of my well. I asked the pros on Reddit and they all said it's fine.

Growing up (back in the 70s) on a NE Wisconsin dairy farm, my dad worked with the neighbor's well drilling crew in the winter to make extra money. They drilled wells all year round. He told stories of them using torches on the trucks' diesel fuel tanks & engine blocks/oil pans to heat them up! They even drilled when it was -20 F !

I did replace the pump 1 year ago. Well is 45 feet and I put the 1/2 horse in at 35. Never runs out and keeps 2 sprinklers running ata time. The well was Putin I 1959. Thank you for your videos. My Well guy installed a OXY3 Iron Reduction system From Franklin Water Treatment 2 years ago for $2700 and our water has been tasting great and doesn't stink like rotten eggs anymore and we don't get the rust stains. I plan to install one of your pumps soon as we talked in January this year I think. My well is 400 + deep water static at 125 +/- feet and my pump at 235 ft. I want to drop a new pump down to around I guess 300+ feet with a soft start Pump to run my new Ecoflow Delta Pro Ultra 6000 Watt backup whole house power system.

My pump is , well let's just say some number of years old. Watching you work sure makes me a lot more comfortable about pulling the pump next spring. Thank you. I think my pump is about 60 feet down and I hope to have substantial water pressure in the shower after replacement. Does anyone have a pump suggestion? As I recall it is a 220 v pump. Yea sure I could walk downstairs and take a quick look at the breaker box but I think I'll put that off for a bit. All the best

I just moved into my great grandparents house. They still have a pump house set up. This summer we replaced the well pump because the water was not coming on. Come find out it was a corroded wire running down alongside the pump. It is a submersible pump. It has been cold lately and due to the terrible pump set up in the building falling down we have been running a heater out there. The water has frozen a little bit, but once I put a small ear on the line, it is up and running in less than 15 minutes. Today the water would not kick on it all at first we thought that lines were just froze when I went out to the pumphouse there was zero pressure on the pressure gauge and the breaker was flipped. I have a switch that does not have the handle. So I turned the breaker back on and tried to flip the switch. The boys have checked the wire to make sure they are all getting power and apparently the ones coming from the breaker box to the switch are fine, but there is no power getting to the pump from the wire from it. Bought a new switch we re-tried the same process and it would not work. We even tried emptying the bladder tank and refilling it with air refilling it with air was taking quite a long time. We are currently taking a break. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!
