I just discovered this game and wow is it amazing! I enjoyed Hydro Thunder and had it on the Sega Dreamcast. I had no idea a sequel was ever released. Kind of funny I am just finding out about it over 12 years after it's release. The graphics still look amazing imo. Despite it coming out in 2009 the visuals don't look dated at all to me. The controls are great, much better than Hydro Thunder imo. Also I like the PIN save system so you are able to continue your game and keep upgrading your boat. Hopefully it will come to the Switch so more people can play it.

This is not the sequel. The sequel is Hydro Thunder Hurricane for Xbox 360/XBONE/XSS/XSX or PC. This is a cheap spin off/ rip off.

@davidback2144 Brian Silva (the announcer for HydroThunder) is also the announcer for the boat and track select in H2O. You can easily hear the voice is very similar to the original HT haha.

@@samuelcamarillo1349 Yeah your right, it wasn't necessary at all and I absolutely loved this game. The only thing that sucked was after leveling up it made the game a little too easy. Still though one of the best racing games I've ever played. Only game better is Hydro Thunder: Hurricane. If you like these types of racing games it's probably the best I've ever played. You can play it with the Xenia emulator if you don't have an Xbox. I was wondering if you or anyone else happened to know of any other similar racing games to this series, arcade or console? Doesn't have to be on water but just something in the same spirit of this game and Hydro Thunder.

@@danielvandusen5724 check out the rest of midway's thunder series if you want something more like the og check out vector unit's games (namely the riptide gp series and shine runner) if you want something closer to hurricane

@@MrRetroangel that's Hydro Thunder Hurricane, which is on PC and Xbox, and the game is made by vector unit, I played it and yup, it's bad, you don't even go extremely fast like this game, no megahull, no power up boxes, no upgrading, no extreme environments, it's pretty mediocre
