My last samsung edge 8 had it on the phone, just pull down and hit screen mirror..simple, so why don't all samsung or even all phones have this I wonder....just scamming more money from us.

It's because a Samsung A14 is classed as a "budget phone". This basically means it doesn't come with the advanced features

My brand new ( 1 week old) galaxy A14 5G does not have that cast icon on any youtube videos? Not to sound too dumb but, do I need to turn on a setting or download an app to get this? Thanks for your A14 videos as they are very helpful. EDIT Never mind. I was going to YT via Chrome and not using the YT app. On the YT app I do have the cast icon. Thank you so very much.

The cast option is not available when you play a video from gallery. Is that feature only on KZbin?? And if so how can I cast videos from gallery

Its very surprising A14 doesnt support smart view. So will need a google chromecast in order to cast on the tv

So my A14 doesn't support Alt mode? I have the A11 which also doesn't support MHL or Alt mode (shame really, especially when I have a USB-C to HDMI cable) ... strange thing is that doing a few searches I've found a few hits saying the A14 does support Alt mode 🤔 ... haven't hunted for my cable to test it as yet, but if I have any success I'll let you know.
