The fact that preteens write fanfictions about these exact scenarios of like practically being adopted by their favorite celebrity on wattpad....really just shows how niave children are of how the world and power dynamics work. And how they may not see abuse as abuse when it took place. Scary

Thank you for using your platform to talk about this in such detail. I was abused and I've been blaming myself for 18 years, then Ethan said: "making kids believe they want it is part of the grooming process... That's where the guilt and shame comes from." Michael Jackson says he cared about kids, but part of caring about kids is setting healthy boundaries and safeguarding them. Even if nothing sexual happened, teaching a kid it’s okay to sleep in bed with an adult who’s not your family puts children in potential dangerous future situations as you have taught them it’s okay to do it

I get what you mean , but how can you teach something you don't know? Something like that is a social lesson that you don't learn through school but with regular interactions whith everyday people or friends, and Michael didn't have that. As a child he shared beds with adults and his brothers , and so to him it may have been something normal and innocent , and since he was so sheltered and famous there wasn't really anyone to tell him that it may be seen as weird

It's very strange how he longed to mirror his own life experience. He was "obsessed" with a child that displayed his skills, preying on dysfunctional families (like his own), and longed to nurture that child through his own abuse. It's all about the innocence he lost at that age. It's telling behavior and may be an indicator that he too was molested at a young age. It seems to be a comfort of his own first sexual experience. He should've just had therapy and resolved his issues instead of trying to find comfort by abusing others. No excuse, the man was *wealthy* and refused to get help.

It’s quite horrible how videos are edited and made to look like what it isn’t. Those of you who are really that interested please find the entire footage before MJ says if you love me you sleep on the bed. He is quoting a banter with this boy who wanted to sleep in the bed and MJ insisted I would sleep on the floor and then the boy says no I would sleep on the floor. That’s when MJ says ‘if you love me you sleep on the bed’. MJ slept on the floor. Please get the facts right atleast before wasting time and resources on a faulty footage. @@viviancooper5892 ... No he never said that unless that video is also strategically twisted. Also his bed room was a two storey unit and not a single bed. He does mention that kids would follow and sleep on his bed but he never says that he slept with them on the same bed. Would he not have a spare area to lie down. He made it very clear that he didn’t sleep on the same bed. These sleeping together controversy started after the Martin Bashir interview where he twisted the whole narrative to make it scandalous. By then Mj already had one round of legal case in molestation charges. One has to be a special kind of moron to call an interviewer home and tell them that I sleep in bed with young boys. But media thrives on such misinformation that’s why it’s presented in this manner. For many years I too believed these allegations I’m a mother of a young boy too and feel very strongly about gender and sexual injustice. A hard core feminist in common parlance. I’m a researcher by profession so I did my own research over time to know and understand the facts but what I found is a typical case of media trial and propaganda. There is no harm in looking into something in an unbiased way is all I say. To each his/ her own 🙏

Thank you. I don't understand how anyone who's ACTUALLY WATCHED this documentary can flippantly dismiss it as two liars who's sole interest is coming forward now is for financial gain. For one thing, they didn't get a cent for the documentary. So no payout there. And yes, both had filed civil suits prior which were dismissed due to the statute of limitations, which varies state to state, but in california stipulates that the victim must be under the age of 28. They filed a civil suit because they wanted relevent people to be forced to depose and talk about what they knew. Nothing more. It was never about money. And the documentary - they didn't get paid a bloody cent. So why, having had your "money-grab" attempt fail, would you then go on to speak for HOURS in tragic, horrific detail about the abuse you have suffered, for no financnial gain whatsoever. That whole line of argument makes no sense. I wish people would open their minds and understand what happens to victims of abuse before they say things like "they either lied when they defended him or they're lying now - how can they be believed?". Ever heard of stockholm syndrome? Battered wife syndrome? Grooming is a process of systematic, progressive brainwashing and emotional manipulation. No co-incidience that neither of them "came out" about the abuse until after they had sons of themselves, who were now a similar age to what they were when the abuse first started. And suddenly all of these things that they had normalised for so many years suddenly appeared very VERY different to them. And so they began to acknowledge that something went on. Still didn't talk about it, for years. But through therapy, and with the loving support of their wives, gradually became able to see it for what it was and start talking about it. I think James and Wade are incredibly brave and I just hope that they can find a way to move past the trauma they suffered and find peace and contentment and love❤

MJ or his estate or his family has less right to sue, just because you blindly hate MJ? You don't know any of the facts of the case, but for some reason you feel hurt, if MJs Estate sue hbo - for money, as if hbo didn't make huge profit with LN...? Sure. If it's MJ he has no right. It´s like don´t want to admit they´re wrong and just say "i´m sorry" to a person who has been blamed for something he never did. It´s convenient to everyone and to the society as well to keep Michael potrayed as the freak guy, it´s what people look for, they searched dirty, whatever could cause understand his purity, focus on it and try to spread I will always do my best to make people understand it, forever. just because you read it in the magazine or see it on the TV screen dont make it factual actual. go cry about richard ramirez

Worse case scenario is he may have mixed up an upstairs room where he was abused in on a particular date 3 decades ago. If MJ was innocent, he would not have paid the1993 victim $23 million so that he would not be indicted. The FBI never investigated Michael Jackson, let alone for 10 years. I was sexually and physically abused at a single-digit age. The details are always a little fuzzy when thinking back that far. Not to mention that while it's happening you don't know what "sexual" is. It's just "I got touched by someone I adored/trusted/loved and it felt good/bad/weird." (Fill in the blanks with whatever experience.) It seemed in this case, the kids did like it because they liked having "something special" with Michael, not to mention the threats of "You'll never see me ever again". So they very well could've said "no, he never did anything bad to me" while also telling the truth because they saw it as a good thing. That doesn't mean the story changed, it means the perspective changed.
@cassandrella
@cassandrella 5 жыл бұрын
Sorry you were abused, but this is absolutely not the case with these two. They knew it was bad because they were specifically asked whether or not it happened while MJ was doing such things. Wade even called the thought of those things "sick" when asked as a kid. To believe them we have to believe that MJ was abusing Wade while at the same time being under investigation by Santa Barbara Co AND the FBI and that he abused Safechuck in places that didn't even exist during the time he alleges he was abused. Please do more research into these guys. They are playing on the emotions of real victims.

@Brian Collins MJ is not comparable to some random guy down the street, nor you. Were you or Joe down the street the breadwinners of your family from the age of 8? Can you and Joe not going anywhere without a mob of people swarming you? Yes, I did watch the "documentary" and it was an absolutely joke. If you've read their original lawsuits, the court transcripts from 2005, and all the other legal documents, you'd see why every accusation is absurd and 100% about money. What "evidence" do you think was presenting in the movie? The fact that Safechuck claimed he was abused repeatedly in a train station that wasn't even built for another 4 years? The fact that Wade Robson' mother suddenly remembered that Wade never actually went on a grand canyon vacation that for 20 years she testified he went on with the rest of the family? These are just 2 of the blatant lies. My defense of Michael Jackson is based off the FACTS alone. The judge hearing Wade Robson's case threw away his entire statement because he said no logical thinking fact finder would believe him. He was caught lying several times to the judge, including hiding evidence of his lies. Do your research and quit thinking an intentionally one sided film is the gospel.

I was abused when I was younger, and Ethan actually pointed something out that was in my life "The hallmark move is to make them think they want it" I can tell you with 100% truth that at that time I thought I did want it.. Now I realise what a mistake that was, as Ethan again pointed out again, is why I carry so much grief around with me, Because I had convinced myself that up to a point.. It was my fault, and maybe it was, I thought at the time this man was a friend, he was my best friends father but now I see that he was grooming me, I find it very hard to talk about unless I am drunk and grief stricken, I thought I would get into trouble if I told someone, and I still do.. My mum had to book me a therapy session and I couldn't even man up to tell her why, which itself carries its own grief. I cannot hold a job as I have depression and bipolar disorder, possibly stemming from these incidents, my life is in shambles I can't even get a girlfriend because I am mentally inept at talking to them, I can barely even have sex without thinking about these moments which as you can imagine puts me off, the girls then lose interest as they don't know the reason why I have lost interest, I have lost interest in life, can't drive as I'm too anxious, and trusting people is next to impossible on any level, whether they are a Man or a Woman, or a Child or an Elder, This is how much this man fucked my life up and all because he tricked me into thinking that I wanted it, and that pins down my anxious feelings and inability to hold a girlfriend and my constant (CONSTANT) suicidal thoughts. I feel sorry for these boys I do, I know exactly what they have been through as I have been through it multiple times myself, Thank you Ethan and Hila, I still view it as my fault up to a point and I will always have the dreadful memories and the terrible dreams, but now I know in depth what goes through their minds. I cannot thank you enough.

@VincentHanna121 MJ literally admitted to sharing his bed with little boys. Do you not find that a bit strange? Here's the thing: MJ probably isn't like an evil mastermind, intentionally trying to ruin these people's lives. He's probably not a psychopath. I don't think he walked into a library and picked up "How to groom children for dummies." Half of his grooming tactics were probably just an automatic thing from his celebrity stardom, rather than some cunning plot. And it wouldn't surprise me if MJ himself was abused. He could have thought "Well I 'liked it' when I was a kid, and so these kids will like it too... and I'm not the one who's wrong, it's society's attitude toward what we're doing which is wrong!" etc. etc. He likely justified it to himself and didn't understand the damage he was doing. He probably genuinely believed he could never hurt a child in that respect. But here's the thing... he did. He fucked these guy's lives up because he falsely believed children are capable of consenting to a relationship. MJ doesn't have to be some supervillain, or a saint. He can be a person who has many qualities, both creative and destructive. What is most important is to understand so we all as a society can spot predators in future and stop them. If you can't even spot this predator in this ridiculously obvious example (because of your love of a celebrity's music), then you're woefully failing in that endeavour.

Not gonna lie, but alot of the media and press back then did anything to make Michael look bad. Such as cutting out parts in interviews such as when they said he slept in the same room and that Michael told the kid he could sleep on the bed while they had also cut out him saying that he was gonna sleep on the floor and he was telling the kid to sleep on the bed. I'm not saying Michael wasn't a pedophile and did not do creepy shit but the press only wanted negative light on Michael, basically having the knowledge that negative news would = attention and drama.

The "train station" argument Michael's defenders used have been debunked: There was several train stations at neverland long before the famous one was built. Also do you remember everything you did yesterday? Try think what you did 5 years ago, let alone if you were traumatized. I know a woman who said she think she was raped by her father, but she says the memories has a big blur and she can't remember much. But she has not have had contact with her father in over 20 years. He gives her the creeps.

There was only ever one train station. Prove there was not. Train stops aren't stations. Funny Robson remembers verbitim what day it was when he was 7 ( A friday) they both are lying sacks of sh.t & that's why two judges have dismissed their cases for money multipal times.

That is not true, there was ONE train station. But you don't even need to go there, because the people behind the documentary said that the train station issue is undeniable and what was really wrong was the timeline given by Safechuck. So, we are to believe that Safechuck was off by SEVEN YEARS in his memory AND that he was molesting Safechuck at age 17, which undermines the entire premise of the documentary that Jackson "dumped" children at 14 for the next. By the way, BOTH individuals they claim MJ dumped them for (Culkin and Barnes) say Jackson never molested them. We are to condemn a dead man based on THESE facts?
