It's crystal clear that none of these people did any research. But I'm not gonna judge them because I initially did the same thing until I got called out. After researching I found out that Michael fought, and fought, and FOUGHT not to pay the first accuser because he knew people would accept that as him being guilty. I find out that he was only sued civilly and not criminally. Once the father received his millions, he was good. He had no interest in sending the man who "molested" his son to jail. I learned that after Wade wrote a letter begging for the job of choreographing the Michael Jackson Cirque du Soleil One show and he was denied, he later sued the estate for 1.6 BILLION dollars. Since he was past his 21st birthday, there was only one loophole that he could use to sue. He had to say he didn't realize at the time that he was being sexually abused. Oh WOW, that's EXACTLY what he's saying, that's what they BOTH are saying. I learned many other things but I'll end it there. Anyone who really wants answers would do their own research. Like my coworker told me when I was being closed minded, making a decision after watching Leaving Neverland and listening to what the media is saying about this man is like being on a jury and going to deliberate after only hearing the prosecuters.

@@Justforthefifteen I have no doubt in my mind that the pain we witness in these people is real. But not over sexual abuse. Over feeling rejected, left out, replaced. Over feeling that "once they grew"they did not amount to much. Watch the doc carefully. Its all edited, the backgrounds change, so the emotional "moment" is in fact, scripted, not genuine. Watch Wade's testimony how he was "touched" from the first night, which is highly unlikely and contradictory of all the "grooming" allegations. And so many things that dont add up, but those are enough. As for your questions, I am not a fan of MJ . For me, this was not real because they sued the estate years ago and the judge dropped the cases as non valid 2 times. They have the same attorney. Wade tried to get a "tell all book" right after he was fired from the show of MJ for being inconsistent. These are kids who peaked at 12, who struggle for money and who feel anger and entitlement towards someone who showed them a life that could never be theirs. There is no doubt in my mind. I MJ was a pedophile, I do not know, but this "documentary" that ommits so many facts is not evidence that he is.FBI files that can be found easily and read, show that there was never anything that incriminates him, over a secret investigation of a year and 2 raids. So this is why I criticize this garbage that passes for a documentary. Its as if the National enquirer wanted to pass for National Geographic. it aint so just because you say so. You need to prove it. :)

However the narrative that he only slept in bed with boys individually is false. He said on multiple occasions that he allowed children to sleep in his ROOM (which was the size of a duplex) and he SHARED his bed with them...He said (and this was confirmed by witnesses and some of the parents.) That he slept on the floor in a sleeping bag in most cases. ...and on the occasions when he did LAY in bed with the kids, there were always MULTIPLE kids...male AND female, who were present. I like that Kristian is at least questioning the doc unlike Josh last week. But there was no book of child pornography. It was a storybook that had children depicted in it but no children were naked. There were so many contradictions in the documentary. It was filmed to be emotionally manipulating. Also Kristian, Michael NEVER paid anyone settlement money to drop their lawsuit. He paid for the civil suit to be put on hold while the criminal trial was going ahead so the lawyers for the civil suit couldn't sit in the criminal trial and use the evidence provided to change the dates for their suit. They still could have proceeded with criminal charges later on but decided to drop the case after payment. And when they photographed Michael's penis, it DID NOT match what the description of the what the child said. Yes, as a big MJ fan even I admit he was weird and had a lot of questionable behaviour but these 2 men are definitely fraudsters attempting to gain financial freedom off the back of this horrible situation.

Unfortunately, we will probably never know for sure. But you have to at least admit it is a possibility. Especially since abusers are so good at covering their tracks. Hell, friends & family members are the ones most often to commit these crimes, and it can happen for years with no one knowing. What might make it harder for abusers to hide are cases like this being so open. People giving the victims at least the benefit of listening to their claims without immediately calling them liars bc the accused abuser was a celebrity.

I had a friend who was in a sexual relationship with a 50+ year old person when they were 13. To this day they say it wasn't abuse, 32 years later. It's a self preservation thing. The victims cannot admit to themselves that they were abused, they're not going to admit to someone else. Especially when the abusers know exactly how to manipulate the children, make the children think they're special, make the children think they'll get in trouble if they admit to it, make the children think they'll be taken away from their parents, etc. The low income abusers have so many ways to keep the victims silent, can you imagine a filthy rich (filthy being the operative word) abuser? They could get away with anything. I'm not saying you have to believe the victims, I definitely do, but you don't have to. But at least admit NO ONE knows for sure, and it's possible.

I have been a MJ fan since childhood, so Leaving Neverland was obviously hard to watch. After seeing both parts of the documentary, I felt both accusers sounded sincere. And that is the point: I only "feel", so I'll try to think a bit. First, one has to admit that MJ was a very weird man, who suffered from what could be called an "unhealthy obsession with children". He was willing to do whatever he wanted, with no regard to the effects his behavior might have on his "little buddies", their families and on his own career (which he himself ruined). An adult sleeping with young boys (and occasionally girls) should at least make us rise an eyebrow. On the other hand, MJ was heavily investigated by the police (even FBI) for a lot of time. If he was such a big predator, it surprises me how little they found (e.g. no child porn). I should also expect more (reliable) testimonies of people against him (and less in favor), because so far we only have the 1993 allegations (which MJ did settle , and I agree it wasn't a "wise" decision), the 2005 trial (with MJ acquitted) and these two accusers. Third, I understand that people might be outraged by the stories told during the documentary. And they are only that: stories. That is enough to make you want to investigate, surely. But this was a one-sided (and even emotionally manipulative) documentary, with nothing remotely close to a cross examination as the one they would have faced inside a court of law. Fourth, there is the credibility issue. Considering it has been a lot of time since the alleged sexual abuses took place, our only evidence is people's word, so credibiliity is very, very important. Robson testified during the 2005 trial in favor of MJ. Everyone who witnessed his testimony says he was very articulate and adamant in saying that nothing happened. He repeated those claims after Jackson's death. It is normal for sexual abuse victims not to tell their stories for years, fair enough. But Robson withstood Sneddon's fierce cross examination, so if he was not telling the truth, he is a very good liar. But he could be lying now. So either way, Robson is a great liar and so it is hard for me not to dismiss his testimony. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about Safechuck, so I tend give more credit to his story. And that is all there is.... To my standard of proof, there is very little to make up my mind. The testimonies (especially Safechuck's) seemed reliable, but I feel hard evidence is lacking. I miss objectivity from both Jackson haters and Jackson apologists. I don't feel comfortable with all the public lynching so tipical of the "me too" era (muting MJ??? Come on people!). And I can't understand the irrational response of almost every MJ fan on the planet either. I consider myself a die-hard fan of Michael Jackson’s music and dancing, and he was an important part of my late childhood and adolescence. It is precisely because of that that I really want to know what happened. A trial would be great, because it would expose hard evidence, cross examine the accusers and test their stories, and it would really help me to put my biases aside and get closer to the truth, even if it is not what I want it to be... :(

I've always wondered why lie detectors aren't used. Maybe I've been watching to much Jeremy Kyle Show but the lie detector apparently is more than 80% accurate, or something like that. I understand that a lie detector cannot be taken on it's own but could be a useful tool non the less. Another factor here is the abuse with Robson started apparently in 1990. The court case was in 2005, which is 15 years after the abuse began, and 8 years after it apparently ended. This is a lot of time to think about these things. He must have a really poor family relationship because he felt unable to tell them the truth, apparently. But then who actually accused MJ of the crimes in the first place? The kids were saying he didn't do it, but it seems the parents were saying this in fact wasn't the case? As we all know, adults are very good liers and young kids tend to come out with the truth sooner rather than later. I'm not saying I believe Robson and Safechuck are liers, but if they are now telling the real truth, then it's their own fault for lieing in the first place. If do you keep changing your story people will always become suspicious. The Boy who Cried Wolf springs immediately to mind here.

You're all very justified! This was indeed a very sad, disturbing and devastating film. As a father, the thought of anyone doing something like this to my son makes me sick to my stomach. As a film critic, this film did an effective job sucking me in and getting me emotionally invested! But as a journalist, when my high of emotions wore out and I was able to research these men's allegations objectively, it was humbling to see that these two men's stories are clear fabrications, inconsistent and contradict documented facts. I won't get into any of the debunking, I trust your ability to find the truth. I strongly urge you to research, and I guarantee that you'll be humbled by the facts as well. Every victim deserves a chance to be heard in this fight against sexual predators. It is unfortunate that these two men are taking advantage of this important moment in history to make false allegations, and it is offensive to real sexual abuse survivors. I'm not fussing at anyone who believed these two men, because their stories were very moving and emotionally convincing. Shame on them and shame on the mainstream media for sensationalizing this story for ratings!

Anger towards the mothers... Yes, I too was very frustrated with the parents when watching the documentary. But remember we are watching it in a 20/20 hindsight perspective. We hear the recount of abuse and negligence concurrently. MJ was a master at grooming. Before MJ groomed the family and the child, he had already groomed the world. Remember, the majority of the world didn't bat an eye when we heard anecdotes of MJ sleeping with boys and serially walking around holding hands with a handsome young boy, like that boy was his latest person he was dating. Parents are also trusting of grooming priests as well. So it's too convenient to be righteous now. I watch the documentary like it's a delineation of a tragedy.

Michael Jackson was one of the greatest gifts that God has ever gave to this world. I am not even talking about his talent. I am talking about the unconditional love that he gave to the world and tried to show us to do the same. As all the proof and research you do on him continues to prove his innocence. No wonder he preferred the company of children... No egos, no judgement, a clean heart. Look at what adults do, just look at it... They will spread lies and judge when its only God can do that. Every false accusation against Jackson was formed and created in the mind of an adult. I liked his music and his talent, but I love him more as a HUMAN BEING. Very sad they will crucify an innocent person like this, even after in death. But after all, they also crucified Jesus.

Of course Michael did it. I find it interesting that no women have ever accused Michael of child molestation -- only men. This demonstrates that his attraction would have been to boys instead of girls. On top of that, if you notice, none of Michael's accusers are black. That's interesting because, underneath the plastic surgery, the skin bleaching and hair "re-texturizing," Michael was a black man from Gary, Indiana. I mention Michael's race because I think that it helps to add context to the situation. It is unusual for a black man (celebrity or not), who grew up and was raised within a black family, to spend a huge amount of his time as an adult with many young boys who aren't black and/or family. It's odd. At least if Michael's accusers were black, one could argue (albeit unsuccessfully in my opinion) that Michael spent so much time with them because "they are black and Michael hung out with them because he wanted to mentor them." However, the fact that none of his accusers are women (only men -- boys at the time of the alleged molestation) and also that none of them are black (so he couldn't use the "bringing up the black community" defense for why he hung out with them) indicates to me that Michael had a specific type that he preyed on.

All it does put unwarranted attention on his children and other loved ones. Even the father that broke him is dead. Meanwhile, we got Harvey Weinstein out here still running a muck with his Hollywood connections and let’s not disregard his friendship with Oprah who is also in the know. A life where adults you meet only see you as dollar signs and opportunity. In a world like that you can only trust animals and kids. MJ was gross and disturbed. There are videos you can find on KZbin of him admitting he slept in the same bed or next to young boys. Now what that tells me is that he thought there was nothing wrong with that. Why admit you sleep next to boys if you're also raping them? He was sick but he couldn't have been that stupid?? I don't believe he raped these two but it doesn't make what he did any less disgusting. How is it so hard to believe that two men could be just that good at lying? It has recently come to light that Amber Heard lied when she accused Johnny Depp of beating her when it was actually THE OTHER WAY AROUND. That is sick. There are sick people in this world that do a lot of sick things for money. I'm in no way defending Michael. I will admit I am/was? a huge fan. A fan that prior to this doc didn't know about him and Macaulay Culkin both admitting to sleeping in the same bed together. I won't be searching for his music on my own time but I definitely won't walk out of a store because I see the mans merch. Does Roxy have a hard time watching the usual suspects? Collider Live- Thank you for speaking on such a difficult topic. I know you are getting slammed relentlessly by viewers' comments because Michael Jackson is so beloved and people do not want to believe this could have happened, but as a Family Counselor who has worked with kids and families victimized by sexual assault and years of sexual grooming, almost always by trusted people to the victims, I know how important it is to increase social awareness on this issue. I've worked with kids for almost two decades, but it wasn't until my current position where I truly started to understand how insidious and deeply rooted the process of manipulation of children and young adults goes for the purposes of sexual assault. And it's not just the intended target or targets that get manipulated. Anyone around that target in a position of any kind of authority will become part of the process of manipulation as well. Sexual predators are, more often than not, masterful tacticians when it comes to getting what they want. I have not yet watched the documentary, but plan to do so with as much of an open mind from all perspectives as I possibly can. If Michael Jackson is guilty of these crimes, a big part of the push-back you and anyone who believes so is getting from the public is the difficulty in accepting that WE ALL were victims of manipulation by someone we wanted to trust and adored. Again, thank you for the courage to talk about this issue. And to anyone who wants to drown out discussion about this documentary who has not seen it yet, I would say, if you truly are passionate about this, watch the documentary first with an open mind as well, and then take some time afterward to reassess your thoughts and opinions. You may even learn something that could help you prevent someone you care about from being victimized in this way.

It's not about loving MJ.. I am huge fan. Yes. But I am COMPLETELY ANTI-PEDOFILE. What is so frustrating is the gross amount of gross misinformation in this video. Talk about it yes! We should. But at least use facts. Honestly I believe that MJs behaviour cannot be condoned in order to protect children with full transparency. The fact of the matter is that there is SO MUCH actual evidence that refutes much of Leaving Neverland. It's very frustrating to see people publically use their feelings instead of looking at facts. If he's guilty then I'm glad he's dead and cannot hurt anyone else... The problem is most investigations end with zero evidence. FBI. No evidence LAPD no evidence Prosecution "lack of evidence"... Prosecution falsified evidence in court as exposed by defence lawyer Wade and Jimmy stories coming from a book called MJ was my lover - which was a pro-pedofilia fantasy book written by Victor Guiterez who actually thanks NAMBLA. Prosecution choose not to release or use the photographs of MJ genitals because they didn't match the child description. Wades email show him fabricating information. Wade and Jimmy said they never met before LN but there is a documented meeting in 2014 WITH their lawyers - documentation showed Wade's mother actually persued MJ to continue the relationship nor the other way around - the place where Jimmy says he was molested didn't actually exist until several years later making him much older if the molestation did take place. The first adviser DIVORCED BOTH of his parents after the allegations citing abuse from father The second alleged victim was a part of a previous plot to extort money from JC Penny using false allegations of abuse. That won because JCPenney settled. None of the above is my feelings.. All absolute facts. And there's SO MUCH more. Please don't think that MJ fans just protect MJ because he's MJ. I actually don't give an F* who he is. If there was any amount of evidence that showed he was guilty of pedofilia, i would happy to call him a sick f*CK... Note I'm not going to say he is innocent... Cuz NO ONE can actually say that once the allegation is made unless you were there but you should say least research to see if the allegations have any corroborating evidence, don't you think? So I ask you, what makes you think he's actually guilty?
