Personally, I hope Jay is alright. Seems like he’s got a lot of pain too. He had the same reaction to this song that I had. Which wasn’t even awe at the music, musicality or anything. It was just straight up lyrics. When you struggle, and you’re trying to avoid feeling just to survive the next day, then this pops up, it’s hits you differently than if you’re in it all the time.

I got out of the Post-Hardcore emo shit in like 2011 when I got too busy for the sad boi type of stuff, that and I always preferred the harder stuff like Slaughter to Prevail (check out Viking or Baba Yaga if you haven’t). Something drew me into this though and it really opened that door up which I’d shut just to survive and man, it’s been a flood. I recognized that same look. It’s a look of avoidance, and then resignation, and then recognition. Hang in there bud. We only get one shot at this. Make it count.

I watch a lot of reaction videos, however my favorite are ones where the listener is not who'd you'd expect to listen to the genre. So many are blown away that Ronnie can drop sick bars, sing like a angel and belt the hell out of it.
