A hands on review and test of the H96 H2 MAX Android 7.1 TV Box. This one is the "Colourful" edition and also features dual band Wi-Fi, 4GB Ram, and 64GB storage as well as Bluetooth 4.0 and root access. It looks good on paper but how does it perform?
Test includes Wi-Fi speeds, storage speed, CPU and graphics benchmarks, streaming playback and an overview of the menus and function.

HBO Go isn't supported in my region so I can't test it, but there is no reason why it should not work on this box

4TB is supported all the common video file formats I've yet to find one that didn't play ( tested most of the ones I could get hold of bar obscure ones).

You'll have to search to find out if there are any you can add (ie to Kodi streams) or if there are apps that support that. I know very little about Nepal being honest. Apps like Mobdro have multi language streams, but usually Euro/USA mainly and a few south American

I have this box ,vudu don't work on this box . is there a work around , Vudu don't allow rooted devices.

I have not use that app but I have read about it not working on rooted devices. Only way to defeat that is to try to trick it, but I'm not sure that's going to work. Might be worth a Google search on that

For control pad games have options for controls in their settings what pad are you using

You can do that no problem there. I quite like this box looked at a lot; not the fastest but a nice overall performance lots of ram and storage.

Check the HDMI cable a damaged one can cause the problem, try a different cable to see if that works. 9/10 I've found display issues down to cable problems usually

In terms of CPU and Graphics performance no, but this is good enough for 4K and playback and has decent storage and ram. It depends what you do if you game then I'd for an S912 chipset box if not then it probably doesn't matter much.

It's a decent box for the price/spec hard to beat really lots of storage and ram runs well enough. I've not seen any issues so far on this one running well. Thanks for the comment appreciate it

Do you mean the H96 Max with the RK3399 6-core CPU? Much faster processor and graphics are suitable for serious gaming. It depends what you do this is fine for streaming and light gaming, I'd only suggest the other one for someone who really needs a high performance box, otherwise the S912 chipset boxes offer a sensible point between (ie decent CPU and GPU speed) - cost is always a factor the RK3399 boxes are on the higher side. For streaming normal use and those who want lots of storage/ram I'd rate this one as one of the better boxes I've used to date

Same chipset less storage and no front LCD seems like a reasonable choice if you want to keep the price down a bit, not used it but performance should be similar the storage speed sometimes varies on boxes sometimes the 3D a bit (ram speed)

I'm not a fan of the Mi box S, the Mi Box is good but the S is a bit cut down IMO. So I'd prefer this for overall experience myself. Just my take if you get a Mi box it's Android TV, v normal Android

For streaming this is good lots of storage and ram I am happy with it. For gaming there are better boxes but for general use this works well so I would recommend it at this price as you have decent performance overall
