I wish somebody could do this test in Kashmir during winter. That would be interesting. In your case, ambient temperature was already 19C at 10am and probably increased to 25C by 2pm. So the AC didn't have to do much work to increase room temp to 28C. However, in my area it's a different ball game as temp is in negative during winters. Power consumption would probably be very high.

Heat pumps are more energy efficient than the PTC room heater or traditional room heater in case of room heating. BUT the surrounding temperature or the temperature outside the room must not be very low. If in winters temperature in your city goes too low than using a hot and cold ac may not be a good option, and you should opt for a PTC room heater.

Well according to me the power consumption will vary according To the room size in which room heater is used. Wattage of the heater and heat setting. At what range the thermostat cut of is set Number of time the door or cool air enters the room. Well on approximate figure i think it will consume 3.5 - 4.0 Units on 1st heat setting consuming 1000w that too will vary upon on time of usage Well I liked the way you explained everything thank you so much.
