7:21 A man carrying grass leaves home to feed his cattle, either cows or buffalo. Raising 2 buffalos can bring an income of a man in this country. 2 buffalos a day need the feed of 3-4 loads this man can carry as you see in the clip. People here can be double richer if they raise 6 buffalos instead of only 2. However, they do not have investment. Most of families have no buffalo to feed.

Hi Alexander, I really liked the Video. I'll be going to Vietnam in February and wanted to ask you if you could recommend this trip without any previous expierence of driving a motorcycle. I'd really love to do the trip but am kind of anxious if I can even do it if I don't drive all ready very well. Thanks in advance from Germany :)
@AlexanderTravelbum5 жыл бұрын
Yes I recommend it! I had only ridden automatic scooters around Southeast Asia around towns, nothing crazy. You can pick it up fast, just ask how everything works on the bike (I recommend a semi automatic), and then go for a test drive. You’ll have it down in 10 minutes

I am Vietnamese. I have been away from Vietnam for decades. However, I still remember I riding horse on this kind of land without saddle and without rein. At that time, only the rich can afford a motorcycle. I had a bike then. To drive motorcycle today on this land, nothing can be easier, and more safer than biking. You can sleep driving through, or even drunk. The most important is "knowing your speed." I heard that there are several shops that offer motorcycle leasing in Ha Giang. You go from Ha Noi airport, then on the bus to My Dinh bus station where you can buy bus ticket to Ha Giang. Lease a motorcycle in Ha Giang, and drive there. That is so easy and simple.

How many cc was the scooter you got and would you recommend that size?
@AlexanderTravelbum5 жыл бұрын
110cc semi automatic. That’s what most people go with but anything around there should work. I was happy with it
@anhmytran55745 жыл бұрын
I think 50cc automatic. Women and underage kids can ride. If you strong and brave, do not use this bike, for it is slow.

Do you need a Vietnamese motorcycle license to ride in Vietnam, I’m travelling there myself in February and have a uk driving license
@AlexanderTravelbum5 жыл бұрын
Legally, you do, but no tourist really has it and thousands ride motorbikes across the country. You’ll be fine without it. I just have an international driver’s permit, but haven’t ever had to use it

@@AlexanderTravelbumHow did you avoid police checkpoints? I have read that they are cracking down on certain regions in Vietnam
@niallmcnamara53945 жыл бұрын
@@sig124 when I went, they only stopped us when we were speeding and that was on one occasion. They're really not a big deal. Worst you'll get is around £15/$20 fine
@anhmytran55745 жыл бұрын
Yes. I am sure the police check the foreigners more than the local. Why? Few foreigners bring motorcycle license with them when they go to Vietnam.

Ahahah Unbelievable how some people are scared with nothing !! Be in good shape, that s all you need....
@AlexanderTravelbum5 жыл бұрын
There are only a few that are recommended, same as most areas you travel to. Japanese encephalitis is optional, and not really needed. Just google a country in SEA and vaccines needed. You probably had them already at home

you never know. For example, some people travel to Africa. When they come back to the US, medical doctors hold them in a facility for a long time before they are sure that the travellers do not bring any virus back to America. I travel to Vietnam every 5 or 8 years, and I was lucky enough to go through airports without being kept in hospital.
