Yes, spring 2023. Stayed in Cat Ba, and had a totally different experience. boat looked the same. But we did a kayak trip through a bay, went swimming, and had an inland snack and golf cart ride to fish ponds for foot massage. Cat Ba was much quieter and smaller.

oh yah, in Bangkok now. Retirement visa. tomarrow will go spend a week in Hua Hin. But been slow traveling for 7 years. Bangkok is my hub for this year.

I took my day cruise from Cat Ba Island. it still had a small town feel to it. but not for much longer, they are building it up too.

Hey if Ha Giang didn't repell you from driving in Northern Vietnam, I highly suggest you to check out North West Vietnam. ta Xua / Mu Can Chai / Moc Chau ( most beautiful waterfall i've ever seen) / Hoa Binh Lake / Pu Luong Valley... Most amazing roadtrip I've ever did. Especially in mid September.

@@wattstraveling Trust me, it's WAY more magical and there will be 2 other people there tops. Name is Chiềng Khoa waterfall. There are like 7 differetn levels and pools... You can swimm in each of them.
