This song is 83 yrs old. Released in 1937. Rendered by the great singing actress of yesteryear K. Aswathamma. She was a best singer in 1930s. Acted in 3 films, Sadarame (1935), Chintamani (1937), Santha sakkubhai (1939). In all these movies she acted in titular roles. Her acting and singing were unique, which made her very famous and brought lot of fans. She rendered many private songs too. Some of the songs are still exists. This song Haa priya prasantha Hrudaya was a popular song in and best seller in 1937, even non kannadiga people from tamilnadu and Andra used to buy Aswathamma's songs recorded in gramophone discs. But unfortunately Aswathamma died in 1944 when she was 34, due to then the dreaded and deadly disease tuberculosis 😢😢. Otherwise she would have reached the heights like M. S. Subhulakshmi.
