He says YES! My daughter had a business meeting in Amsterdam. When she went through customs the agent said , “Welcome home!” He was surprised when she said she was from the USA. The people she was working with drove her to Uden to see where her great grandparents came from. She cried ... the church there looks just like the one in my husband’s hometown, Little Chute, Wisconsin. There is an authentic, made in and shipped from Holland wind mill there. Some gentlemen from Holland accompanied the windmill and reconstructed it on site. It is amazing!

The row counter on the Addi machines are much better now. No battery so counts won't be lost and it clicks every row but it does make a noise when it does and some may think there is something wrong with the machine. You get used to it and it can be very useful to count the clicks if you forget to reset the counter! I'm always doing that! Very helpful fot those trying to decide which machine to buy. The old saying applies, You Get What You Pay For. I chose the Addi, 22 and 46 needle, having watched yours and other videos. Forewarned is forearmed and knowing what to look out for in the stitches is why your video is so valuable.🙂

Hi there. Glad I found you. I ordered my Addi Express Kingsize in December 2020. Was delivered in April 2021. It worked great for about 100 hats. Then I felt more and more resistance cranking. It became more difficult to crank with yarns for 5 mm neddles. I then worked with thinner yarn like Mandala and the problem was fixed for a few hats. Even though the knitting results were perfect I had to return my Addi. My arm started to hurt cranking and additionally all of a sudden the handle would skip turning the needles. Now I am waiting for a refund or a replacement. I produce hats and scarves for children in Romania. Thank you. New sub.

Using Acrylic yarns in these machines causes static electricity to build up, and that will affect your row counter. people say that it is broken...it isn't, when you use yarns with a lower acrylic percentage it will work better for you. But, if you are working with acrylic yarns, you will need to keep track of your rows with a handheld row counter. Click it every time those black needles come around!
@MaakhetmetMiranda4 жыл бұрын
I use only acrylic. Machines also have their own personality. Most of the time the digital counter works fine. But since every round is equal I can count rows blindfolded. Its really soothing to count. And you always have to eyeball your needles.

I have found that digital counters of all kinds are unreliable. I had one of those finger ones and it would advance numbers for unknown reasons. If I did knowingly bump it, it would advance to the next number. I found it so frustrating that I tossed it for a manual counter. I would love to have an Addi, but frankly, unless you're running a business selling knitting items, it's way over-priced for the casual knitter. I do have a Sentro and I find it to be completely adequate for doing larger projects that are straight knitting. Personally, I like stitch patterns and you just can't do a whole lot with knitting machines other than knit straight stitches. I've seen wonderful things done with thread maneuvers, but it's still just plain knitting. The textured stylish knit patterns just can't be done unless I'm just ignorant. That's my personal recommendation . . . unless you have a business selling knitted items, go for the Sentro.
