Pro tip for Haar: If you are able to get the speed wings into the convoy in 2-3 you can use them on Haar the next chapter. Doing so will give him 22 speed, allowing him to double half the enemies in 2-E. Then if he gets a lucky speed level, he doubles everything but swordmasters. Also note with thunder mages, Haar has the bulk to take 2 thunder tomes to the face (if they even hit) and presumably kill them back with a hand axe.

I also love giving Haar the hammer and Heather's pass to one turn clear Elincia's gambit. Elincia herself can do it, but needs luck with Wrath procs.

@@femspaint2911 you are not able to switch skills on part 2. Personally I use him to single handedly choke the left staircase and kill everyone there and to get the skill scroll. Doing this he gets a couple levels at least by the time I'm ready to kill the boss

I finally played PoR and Haar won me over instantly with his chill personality and made me excited when he finally joined. I love his support with Jill and saw he had a support with Makolov but like he’s gross so didn’t try to build it up. He was one of the strongest unit just of course had those speed issues but used the brave axe on him and gave him that accessory that negates all effective damage and just had him clear house all the time. Really excited to get my hands on RD Haar so I can also feel what everyone feels and sees in that Haar

I don't think that the way that bonus experience works in Radiant Dawn was unintentional. If anything it is a feature of the game. The best unique mechanic in the entire series

I just love it. Radiant Dawn is actually quite unique among Fire Emblems, because you trully want to have the best army for Endgame you could have. And BEXP helps with that. Level Up by BEXP in Radiant Dawn wasnt done to use normally, but to use it all on those units that already capped some stats. That way, slowly but surely you ate almost guaranteed to have a Broken Army for the actually punishing endgame

I can't remember if this was something changed in the localization process, since rd had a TON of changes when being redone for western audiances. Like adding in the DB weapons, the 21 level promotions, and making it so the laguz gague wasn't trash.

In addition to Haar being able to avoid thunder mages, magic tomes are notoriously weak in Radiant Dawn making effective damage with them kind of negligible. Not only that but Thunder magic is also tied for the weakest of them. Arcthunder clocks in at a measly 7 Mt and most Thunder Mages are running lower grade stuff than Arcthunder. Thunder is also the least accurate of all of them. It would be more apt to say that Haar is weak to magic in general due to low Res while being only a smidge more weak to Thunder. Also Haar can often just go up to the rare mage that actually exists and one shot them with a Hand Axe.

Honestly Haar in Radiant Dawn has enough bulk to tank a thunder mage and like 5 physical units after that,he is almost idiot proof Most of the time for me He just pulls up to the Thunder mage and one shots him with the Steel greataxe

When I played FE 10 for the first time (first fe game) I am 100% sure I lost haar. I didn't know resetting was a thing so he was gone. He died to a bolting, I think.

Solution 1 to the thunder magic weakness: Nullify scroll gets dropped in 2-E. Just get it onto Nephenee/Brom/Heather etc and Haar gets to equip the instant he shows up in part 3 Solution 2 to the thunder magic weakness: It was never even a problem to begin with, thunder magic sucks so ridiculously bad in this game it's not even funny. When compared to equal level anima tomes it has: lower might, lower hit, higher weight, even higher WEAPON RANK REQUIREMENTS DUDE WHAT WHY DOES ARCTHUNDER REQUIRE A RANK AND ARCWIND REQUIRE B RANK The only advantage thunder magic has is crit, which is nearly matched by higher level wind magic

As much as we meme on broken units like volke and haar, you have to admit radiant dawn is a thousand times more balanced than engage. All classes in radiant dawn had a least 1 unit to represent and excell in but engage its got meta problems worse than 3 houses and that game was basically wyvern lords work for everything and everything else irrelevant even if it works you're putting yourself as a disadvantage not using wyvern lord.
