Well those X-axis base extensions don't exactly scream rigidity, now do they? Yeesh.

Had the same questions, put a bit more weight and while machining your Z/ height dimensions are flexing as your table moves, why they can't use solid base? it would increase rigidity, and table rapids. It would add more machine weight but the heavier weight is always good for CNC MIll.

@@Andrey222ful castings are expensive. keep casting where you need it.. by the cutting area. Anchor casting to the floor and it will greatly increase weight vibration absorption.

I'v been told approximately 50% from America and the rest outside because they can not find enough casting suppliers in America I know Okimono in Thailand use to make them.. they still may. Okomoto make very good castings... see their grinders.
