The problem in my phone seems to be caused by the hard armoured cover. I picked the phone up in the morning,after a few swipes the flickering wasn't there.I removed the back cover and have my Moto z play without a cover. The phone had also been left in a holder over night once which applies force on the top and bottom to hold the phone.
