It worked! At first I tried the start button+ volume up for 15s and nothing happened so I left it charging. After couple of minutes the charging icon appeared and it turned on "odin mode" which tells you to hold start button + volume down for 7s to restart. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Dude when we say that the phone doesn't charge we mean 0 watts input from the cable. Your phone is actually charging, it just doesn't show an indication on the screen.

🥰🥰🥰You have just become my hero. My Samsung Galaxy S20's screen turned black. I read all the advice on Google and watched all the videos I could on KZbin, but had no success. Your instruction was to press the button up. All the others instructed me to press it down. After a short period, the screen was back on, although so dark, I could barely see. I managed to get to the settings then: Display. I then adjusted the Brightness which was at the far left side. Then: MAGIC!!!!!!!!!! My phone was back on. Working normally. I thank you from the bottom of my heart and pray that you will be blessed for eternity.

If the brightness is all the way to the left it's not difficult to see the screen except when you're outside, I always keep it all the way to the left because it's easier on the eyes, except when I'm going outside.

Thank you so much. First option worked. At first I thought it did not work. Held down the power and volume up button for 15 seconds. Kept flashing the power mode saying 0%. After trying the first option and not getting it to cycle on , I went to plug in the phone for second option and all of a sudden opened up the screen you showed in 1st option then I simply pressed the power button and everything turned back on. I was so upset when I charged the phone for 1 hour and still had a black screen. Thanks again for sharing this.

It worked. So yes i was searching 10000 videos but it randomly worked here. 1) connect to pc 2) whatever you can shut the phone totally down without that dead charging logo 3) press power + vol down and same time connect charger. Wait for some sec it auto magically starts from 0%

Tried everything you said, still does not work. The circle popped up with the electric symbol and the screen is just black. Here's what I did for reference: - Charge for 30 mins, plugged out charger, held power button and volume up didn't work nothing showed up - Charge for 5 mins, hold power button and volume down nothing showed up I may have to replace it sadly.
