I am in Chicago, I haven't gone to the ReStore here, (didn't even know they had one!) and the furniture you were showing in there is a little bit pricey for donated goods, to say the least. Husband and I go to Salvation Army here and we can get something for much cheaper. (and I know that is an equally good cause!) We like to go to the one on Clybourn Ave. as that has a lot of designer resale, since it isn't that far from the Upscale neighborhoods/Gold Coast Area. We're Seniors, so we are not doing upgrades, but it's nice to know a place where we can get them now if we need a new washer/dryer, etc. Glad these donated items are kept out of the waste stream! Glad that I watched this, we might go this week to the one on Pulaski Ave. (looked up their Chicago website and they have 3 not too far from us.)

Patricia Niedrich most of the furniture shown in this video were donated from Wayfair.com which has a warehouse in our area. They price it 50% off retail to start. They also run flash sales to keep the merchandise from sitting. I went in yesterday and the flash sale was 35% off all white ticket “new/Wayfair” items and all the red ticket “old” items were buy 1 get on for free. They might as well be giving the rugs away the sale now is $20 for the big rugs and $12.50 for the smaller ones. The big rugs retail between $800-$1000. I think this is a GREAT way to keep ALL of Wayfair’s unwanted merchandise out of a landfill. As for prices I think you have to be a savey shopper and know when something is really a deal. If you are looking for donated items from the public this might not be your store. Thanks for watching Patricia💕

I was at this store over the weekend.. it's so nice and clean. I got 5 rugs. My daughter had a blast diving for her rug. They are amazing. Can't wait to go back again for the $20 rugs.

Your store is a lot bigger than ours and the prices seem a bit higher. I recently found a like-new power recliner for $90 at our store. They normally sell for $300-$400 new. What a blessing for my aching hip! Thanks for sharing your experiences.

EXACTLY I say the same thing but they are more concerned with getting it off the trucks and on the floor. Also in my opinion it’s a lawsuit waiting to happen sometimes the pile is 5-7 feet tall...no joke 😳

My HFH is pretty dumpy compared to this one. But...I DID find a gorgeous perfect condition crystal chandelier for $4.99 YES $4.99. I looked it up and it's an IKEA and it sold for $199.00!!! Best find EVER for me!!! :D YAY

Wow. I volunteer at my local Restore, and I can honestly say, the prices at the one in your video are insane!! I am floored at how high they price everything. The prices at the one I volunteer at are literally an 8th of what your local Restore charges. Kind of disheartening. I do understand that the area they are located in does make a bit of a difference, however, I am still floored . Wayyyy too high. :(

LillyLavine I should have showed more of the personal donation furniture which runs $5-$100. This store gets Wayfair’s unwanted items which is basically new merchandise, they typically price it 50% off retail. To make room for new merchandise they fun flash sales and mark it down more. You can find some really good deals in this store.
