HACK a Garage Door with a Flipper Zero

How to use a flipper zero to hack a garage door.
A flipper zero can be used for penetration testing by ethical hackers and hacking electronics such as radio protocols, access control systems, and wifi. It can also be used to copy rfid control cards used for door access, safe access, and hotel rooms. Not to mention the ability to perform attacks via usb similar to a rubber ducky made by Hak 5.

Sounds like fun. I’m currently working on scripts for a GitHub repository for bad usb attacks. Similar to what you can do with a rubber ducky from Hak 5.

Misleading title. This isn't hacking, this is recording and replaying a garage door opener you have. Hacking would be to do it without recording it first.

Hacking by definition is gaining unauthorized access to something or using it for another purpose than what it was intended. This video is for demonstration purposes. You could capture someone else’s garage door code and gain access which would be unauthorized. Hence the word hacking. Which is also illegal.

@@MattMiles1986 that is the dictionary definition of it. However, to capture your neighbor's signal without them knowing it you need different equipment.

No you don’t. You just have to be within range. I’m not on here to explain everything little step needed because there are plenty of bad actors out there that check KZbin for things like this and I don’t promote illegal activity.
