and all original capacitors, as with most of my many transistor sets, you dont need to 'blanket' replace them, regardless, you know, they last much longer than many people think...

one 'problem' with these and many similar age sets is they only go up to about 100mhz

Hi Shaun, I’m new to the hobby and already I can tell that the Herald is by far the better audio. The batteries in the Harrier will go in, it just depends which way round the batteries are. I know they look symmetrical but .... they are slightly different! Great vid ..... see you at the beach! 🏄🏻♂️

Totally agree , i do think the modern PP9 batteries are perhaps slightly bigger than the original ones Glad you enjoyed the video , was a bit of fun this one ! Best regards Shaun

ELF= Extremely Low Frequency....LF= Low Frequency.....MF= Medium Frequency....HF= High Frequency....VHF=Very High Frequency....UHF= Ultra High Frequency....SHF= Super High Frequency....EHF= Extremely High Frequency... SHF can sometimes found to be called UUHF which stands for Ultra-Ultra High Frequency.. The RP37A sounds miles better, Shaun, nice interesting video. A full moon tonight so the Werewolves will be out and about...Howellllll...oooops..

You should of said at the end ' If someone was attacking you, What radio could you throw at them to knock them out?' Yes the old hacker rp37 would silence there attack with no trouble lol. Portable means it has a handle :-D , i have a cast iron signal generator, it's very portable with two handles. It makes me squeak when i try to lift it. Vhf = Very High Frequency, and Frequency Modulation is the mode, most people say F.M as 88 to 108 mhz is boring lol.

Agree Shaun Although I Love My Harrier My 2 Vhf Heralds Sound Better For Sure The Every Ready Batteries Fit Ok in My Harrier The Panasonic PP9 Might Be a Bit Too Big Me Thinks You Can Bend The Clip Retainers a Bit So The Back Stays On Better !!..Lovely Work As Usuall Shaun..Regards mike.
