This film and the pirates of silicon valley were a motivation to study computing, I'm just a simple technician but being able to know technology and understand it as these guys was something inspiring, I remember that at that time I didn't have a computer was a distant dream for me, I don't get tired of watching this movie. I think there's 2 versions of the soundtrack. One was a double disc, with more music and stuff that wasn't in the movie, but rather Inspired by the movie.

Yes, I noticed this on Wikipedia. I also noticed it on the movie credits, it's Guy Pratt, who was actually the bassist for Pink Floyd after Roger Waters. And as above, him and Dave..they jam sometimes, this is pretty much the outcome. If they didn't want to release it as a Pink Floyd venture, then Guy would get session musicians in & play bass, Dave sat in for this one, they had to name it something (bands will do this sometimes). :)
