5:21 My guess is that with the amount of bullets being fired, they are still trying to render the impact on the vehicle being hit. Which is why they implode in a delayed way, like the bus and the BTR did.

@@Xinocho-Mito Just a bit impractical, I guess. Dunno if anything came of it. The '1 million rounds/min' is also a bit misleading; it's a multi-barrelled weapon which supported stacked rounds, firing them via electronic primers iirc. Effectively a 'fuck off' shotgun blast at full power.

@@johnulver It was that loading it in a combat situation would be too difficult, making it effectively a one-off weapon. And then by that metric, there are countless other one-sot weapons that are just as effective while also being cheaper to produce and simpler to set up.

@@johnulver it is actually still in developpement if i remember correctly, it's inaccuracy and expensiveness is no problem if we considere it's primary job who is to take care of incoming enemy nuke/cruise missile at close range if they go through other defence system. this "last ressort system" is name Metal storm, after the brand of the same name

Meanwhile i can configure a vanilla car in the game to be able to hit 300mph without overheating. The 0 to 60 launch from standstill might not be great, but power and acceleration are still good once it gets going from first gear and up.
