Atrus Miller Just because women take precautions from being raped does not make it there job to prevent rape. On the other hand this is someone's job to manufacture theft resistant vending machines. Who ever "engineered" this lock should not be allowed to work in the industry. Furthermore disclosing a vulnerability like this give the manufacturers a chance to improve the locking mechanism, instead of criminals being the only people to know about it.

Theres a small switch insice the coin slot so what i would do is put a tiny piece of napkin instead of using a flat head. I started doing this when i was 7

this would work but there's another pin inside the mechanism that stops it. either this is an old model or you removed the pin that stops it which is held in place via a screw. interesting video otherwise.

for these old dispense machines all you need is a piece of paper with writing on it saying "thx for the candy!" folded into a hexagon the size of a coin.

and to add to that, the "owners" of these machines pay NO RENT to the stores they locate them in to. there is no environmental seal between the hoppers and the outside world so no freshness. Chocholate is hygroscopic, you should see what happens when the product isn't refreshed periodically -

you can just buy 20cents worth of candy and crush it up into a coin and stuff it into the vending machine coin slot an it will stick there without slipping out, therefor its less suspicious and you get unlimited stock

The world would be a lot cleaner if everyone swept their own front porch. In other words, everyone would be a lot happier if you stop complaining about other people's mistakes and the people not getting money because their OWN machines that they pay SOOOO much money for aren't supervised. If something costed me a lot of money, I'd be sure some kids weren't screwing me over and have them supervised.

I own 25 machines and My Charity is ST. Judes And YES I pay monthly. It comes OUT of PAYPAL automatically and Cost me Money to replace broken coin mechs and candy and time to replace and repair! So PLEASE Don,t Steal we don't make much money in repair cost, time and candy! It certainly doesn't make a living with city permits and business cost/gas/ miles.

i'd recommend asking the ompany who privides yours to issue new coin mechs cause these ones are vulnrable - the metal ones with the 'validator' further in are not susceptable to this hack
