This got me to explore 802.1x more closely as BPDU Guard is necessary because 802.1X does not have mechanisms to block or filter BPDU traffic before authentication. By enabling BPDU Guard on appropriate ports, you can protect the network from BPDU-related attacks before 802.1X authentication takes place. I just love your videos as they always make me rethink the fundamentals!

What I like about Bombal is he is articulate, precise, and speaks with a degree of confidence and clarity. I have half learned a lot of things over the years from Udemy but am frustrated when thy don't respond to queries about common problems or problems that arise from the tutors skipping simple but vital steps that result in inexplicable unnecessary errors. I have discovrred this is because the people who produce those lessons offered on Kali want to direct you to their private teacng portals where they charge you an arm and a leg.

David, your content has been an absolute treasure, and I cannot express enough how much value I’ve gained from your videos over the past 10 months. I’d love to see a detailed, comprehensive video on the evolution of antivirus technology-starting from its early days to the most cutting-edge advancements. It would be fantastic if you could take us through this journey step by step, from the basics to an expert-level understanding, and perhaps even feature insights from industry professionals. Sending love and appreciation all the way from India-you truly are a gift to us!

Love it! I highly agree with your idea that learning with actual devices is better than just simulations. It particularly helps with troubleshooting skills, since inevitably in your lab you’ll plug in something wrong or have a bad cable etc. and have to figure out the problem. I would encourage anyone studying for CCNA to get your hands on some real equipment if at all possible. The old gear is quite inexpensive and readily available in most places, and you can build up a small lab for very reasonable cost.
@davidbombal3 ай бұрын
Agreed. If you can afford it, buy physical equipment. If not, use Cisco Packet Tracer and watch my videos 😀 I've spent thousands of dollars on equipment so people who cannot afford to can learn with me.

Good topic. Showing the importance of understanding the meaning of the command/configs. Because and also the converge of the network is a real issue, we should avoid changing our network topology in any case. this kind of topic push us to be more precise on our settings. Thk

I want to shift my career to IT. I'm very interested in Linux, networking, servers and databases for last 2-3 years, so I would really love to become Linux sysadmin. Today I talked to my friend who is senior developer and he told me that basically no one wants Linux sysadmins anymore, and that he wishes me a lot of luck to obtain this or any similar role, and that basically the only realistic jr. roles I can count on obtaining are this-or-that variant of developer and software engineer roles. Would you say that he's right?

@deadcell80812 ай бұрын
What’s stopping you from learning the basics? Do you go to a graduate school and then complain to the professors that you need to learn freshmen level material? There’s plenty of free entry level networking stuff out there, my friend. Like the above comment, check out Professor Messer. Also check out Network Chuck. He has good material to get your feet wet before you get to the geekier stuff.

Hi David, I'm new to CCNA and just starting my studies. I'm a bit confused about where to begin. Should I start with the older 100-105 material, or should I dive straight into the 200-301? I want to make sure I understand the fundamentals well. Thanks for your guidance!
@davidbombal3 ай бұрын
The current CCNA is 200-301. The 100-105 is old material, but there is a lot of overlap. The best way to start is the current 200-301 v1.1 course / content and exam.
